From the Mouths of Babes

I just had to share this one with you. When the weather started turning, it became a struggle to get the oldest grand daughter to start dressing warmer. She's well now 6 but was 5 at the begining of school. She was worrying about the way she looked already. She will only wear skirts/skorts. She refused to wear tights because that just doesn't look cool. Huh?

Well after many arguments with her I went out and got her some leggings, so she agreed to wear those under her skirts/skorts. Now that we have been getting snow, she's finally wearing pants on the snowy days.

I sometimes stay at my daughters place to do some cleaning. They keep their place extremely hot, due to her having health problems and is always cold. So I make sure I wear a tank top under a warmer shirt. She had already left for school that particular day, so when she got home I was wearing my tank top.

She comes in and says, "Omah, where is your warm shirt? Omah, why aren't you wearing a warmer shirt? It's cold outside. It's snowing. You can't wear stuff like that now." I had such a hard time answering her as I was trying so hard not to bust up laughing. I pointed to the stool that my shirt was on and then she was okay.

Here we had fought with her for a couple of months trying to get through to the girls that they had to dress properly and now she was scolding me. Too cute. Gotta love 'em.
