Be Careful What You Ask For

Lately I've been feeling overwhelmed with all I really need to take care of; well what I feel I need to take care of anyhow. I know there is no need to feel that way, but sometimes we focus on the somewhat trivial things. So yesterday while talking with hubs about how I have so much jumbled, mumbled mess going through my head, I decided to pray about it. I asked the Lord to please provide time to "get caught up on those things I've been behind on."

Well He gave me time alright, but not the kind I was hoping for. I was blessed with my daughter informing me I did not need to pick up any kids today, as unfortunately two of them are home sick. :( So that took away a big portion of running today. But, I also missed another group session, which the topic is so good and important. Plus, I've been going to get groceries for a week now, and still have not made it; and still wont.

My cold seemed to be getting better until yesterday, which was more of just a nagging irritating cough. This morning I woke up to chest and sinus congestion. Growl! I haven't done anything, as I'm very week, tired, just out right exhausted. I try to get up and do something & I feel like I'm going to drop.

When I finally took a shower--and as many of you know, this is where I receive a lot of insight, is in the bathroom--I realized; okay, it was revealed to me, that I prayed a general prayer. But, then again, was it? For I realized then and there, that I was weakened in order to spend time in the Word, which I've for some ridiculous reason have not done yet. He had another plan for me.

I asked for time to get caught up!

He gave it to me. Instead of working on the house, I'm to be spending time in HIS Word. Am I disappointed? NO! Not by any means. As HE comes first anyhow. So my day was partially wasted trying to recoup; but in the end, it will not have been wasted, as I'm going to do as HE had planned for me.

The lesson here is to always when praying, be specific. If you pray for something in general, chances are, He will take you in a different direction, not always in a good one like He did with me. Pray specifically. A more appropriate prayer would have been: "Lord, you know my struggles. You know I have a hard time being organized and finding time to do what I feel I need to be doing. My house needs a thorough cleaning, I have a garage sale to prepare for, I have a room that is full from all the moves, a garage that needs reorganizing and cleaned out. Please provide adequate time for me to accomplish these tasks when you deem right."

See the difference. It covered the areas that is driving me nuts. Time is not very ample for me by any means. But it's all good. He is always faithful. He always listens. It's just that His plans for us may not be the same things we want. Some of you may say, "Well He already knows our needs and wants, so why would you have to be specific?" Because He wants a relationship with us. Because He wants us to take it to Him. He wants us to talk to Him like you would your parents, siblings, best friends etc. Tell Him what is exactly on your heart/mind. He listens, He answers--not always in the manner we ask for--but He knows what is best for us. He's faithful, loving, kind, and wants what is best for us. Trust Him, ask specifically, and believe He will answer. If you doubt Him, then don't expect your requests to be answered. BELIEVE! TRUST!

Be Eternally Grateful

Psalm 100 NIV

1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before Him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is He who made us, and we are His;
we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise His name.
5 For the Lord is good and His love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through all generations.

We should be in constant worship with Him. How often do you call the one who saved us? Is it only to make 911 calls to Him; or do you call on Him to give Him thanks and glory as well? Remember, our Father wants us to come to Him at all times; not just when we are in trouble. He wants us to be in constant conversation with Him; in the Word learning His commands and obeying.

A man very strong in the Lord once told my husband to say, "Good morning Father God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit" when you wake up and pray. Before you even get out of bed. Greet Him first thing in the morning. Make Him the first thoughts of the day.

This morning I woke up extra early which lately is strange for me. It is nice though, as I've been asking for help in changing my ways. I praise God for the change. What was amazing was the fact that I was singing a song in my mind and when hubs alarm went off, the song I was singing was on the radio! "I will rise when He calls my name; no more sorrow; now more pain. I will rise on eagles wings; before my God; fall on my knees..." That's when I knew, get up! I knew to pick up the Bible first thing this morning; reflect on our Pastors message this past weekend which has been constantly on my mind, and read. Behold, I was led to Psalm 100 after reading some of the Scriptures our Pastor had used in his message to us.

I love being in the presence of the Lord. We have been blessed and prayers being answered abundantly. Praise God! All the glory is His and His alone.

Often times we think He's not listening and not answering our prayers. He is, just not always in the way we would like them answered; for He knows what is best for us. Give Him your full trust and faith, give Him of yourself whole heartedly and be amazed and blessed.

Relax Sunday

Today I'm going to do this a little bit differently. I started the the series of Faith and Trust and this will build from it.
Trust in the Lord our God that He will provide an give you a wonderful day. Have Faith in the Lord that He will lead you to do the right things.
Relax today in His love and spread that love. Hug your children/grandchildren. Tell them how much you love them and that you thank the Good Lord for them. If you family isn't close by, call them and tell them how much you love them, and how thankful you are for them.
Take time to pray, tell Him how much you love Him and How it's all for Him.
Relax and let Him hold you and walk with you. Stay in His presence and have faith and trust that your day will be restful and relaxing. For without faith and trust in Him, your days become disheveled.
I hope you all have a beautiful relaxing Sunday and remember to include Him in your day! After all, He is the one that gave us this day of rest. May the Lord our God pour out His blessings upon you today and always. May He give you strength and wisdom to carry you through. May the love He has for us shine through us and overflow unto others. Make and ripple and watch it grow and grow.
Remember to always P.U.S.H. Love Him, Love everyone, even your enemies.
I leave you with: Luke 6:27-36 (NKJV)
27 "But I say to you who hear; Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,"
28 "bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you."
29 "To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either."
30 "Give to everyone who asks of you, and from him who takes away your goods do no ask them back."
31 "And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise."
32 "But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them."
33 " And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same."
34 "And if yo lend to those that from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back."
35 "But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the un-thankful and evil."
36 "Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful."
Relax, let the sun shine in your heart! Many hugs, lots of love, and blessings to you all!!!

Faith and Trust

This post is to discuss faith and trust in the Lord. The reason for this choice is there has been so much going on in so many peoples lives lately that has had many questioning why would this happen, why aren’t my prayers being answered, is He listening…The list goes on.

Our Pastor has been talking about Faith and Trust a lot. I’ve heard others talk about one or the other or both often. It’s been a big subject more than usual lately. It’s been placed on my heart to take my time and really look at this subject in the Bible and share what I find and learn. One could say, “Well if you’re a Christian, a believer, then trust and faith should not be a problem.”

Well in a sense it seems it should be this way. When we read Scriptures, we know it is stated over and over again how we are to trust our Lord God for everything. We should have faith in the Lord as well. How could we lose it? Why should this be a subject that needs to be discussed?

For one, we are of the flesh, like it or not. We are not perfect, nor will we ever be. There are events in our lives that can leave us wondering, questioning, doubting, etc. For instance, this is something that happened recently to someone. They prayed for safety for their son when driving for the first time. Shortly after that, the son had an accident, (not his fault). Thankfully he was not hurt, but it put the family in a worse financial situation than they had been in. The question came, how can this happen right after praying about it? Why would God do this?

This is where faith and trust comes into play, but we fail to see it as naturally we are confused, and it’s hard to see at the time. This is when it is good to talk with others we know that are in the Lord. It is easy for someone that is not going through that situation to remind them that even though it doesn’t seem right, it’s confusing; God has a plan in our lives. We are a works in the making. He may have done that to teach the son something, or the parent, or the family. We don’t know and may never know.

The important thing here is we need to hold onto our faith in knowing that God is there. He already knew this situation would happen. He had it planned for a reason. The good thing is the Lord was thanked for keeping the son safe and not injured. Blessings, count our blessings. When we are able to wave off the negative aspects and look at the blessings, we can overcome our displeasure's and questionings a whole lot easier. Have faith and trust that He is doing what is needed to be done. He has a good reason for what happened. Perhaps even it happened to teach the other party involved a lesson and you were used as He knew you could handle it. You were the one with the faith and they are not. We never know. Just believe, trust, and keep the faith!

I’m going to do this subject in a series. I don’t know how many days I’ll do this, but what ever it takes without making it too long each time. And then there will be other subjects to follow. It was placed on my heart to pick a different subject from the concordance and discuss it here. I thought okay. I know I’ll learn more from this, and hopefully it will help others and prayerfully lead at least one, but hopefully more to the Lord. I would like to know how you all feel about this. Be honest.

I’m going to end today’s post with this Scripture from Matthew 6:25-34 (NKJV) and the definitions for Faith and Trust taken from Merriam Websters On-line Dictionary.

Faith: 1 allegiance to duty or a person; fidelity to one's promises; sincerity of one's intentions.
2 belief and trust in and loyalty to God; belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion; firm belief in something for which there is no proof
3 Something that is believed especially with strong conviction; especially: a system of religious beliefs.

Trust 1 assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something; One in which confidence is placed.
2 Dependence on something future or contingent; reliance on future payment for property (as merchandise) delivered.
3 a property interest held by one person for the benefit of another; a combination of firms or corporations formed by a legal agreement; one that reduces or threatens to reduce competition.
4 a change or duty imposed in faith or confidence or as a condition of some relationship; something committed or entrusted to one to be used or cared for in the interest of another; responsible charge or office

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink: nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more that clothing?”
26 “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
27 “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?”
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toll nor spin;”
29 “and yet I say to you that even Solomon, in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”
30 “Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?”
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat?’ Or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?”
32 “For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”
33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.”
34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

Matthew 6:25-34 (Message Bible).

25-26 “If you decide for God; living a life of God-worship; it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes, or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to Him than birds.”
27-29 “Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? All this time and money wasted on fashion—do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.”
30-33 “If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think He’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do His best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way He works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how He works. Steep you life in God-reality, God-initiative, and God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.”
34 “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.”

More People Struggling

I just came across another family struggling, struggling very hard. Valerie Lynn at Simply 4 God, you can find her link on my side bar--sorry, forgot to copy her link--and read and encourage her.
Valerie, here is a prayer for you and any others that are struggling.

Oh Father, our Father of strength, El Shaddai, thank You for all your blessings, for all your prayers you continue to answer. For your faithfulness to your children. You never leave us even through hard times. Thank You for always being with us. Thank You Jesus for Your great sacrifice, for by Your blood we are saved. What can wash away our sins, nothing but the blood of Jesus. Yes, sweet Jesus, You sacrificed Your life for us, You spilled Your blood for us. We are forever greatful. We humble ourselves before You Father. For we are not worthy of You. We are nothing without You. Thank You most glorious Daddy!

El Elyon, we need You, we need You now in our times of trials, in our times of troubles, in our times of unrest. We know You have Your plans for us. You use trials and tribulations to draw us nearer. Please Jehovah Jireh, bring heaven down to earth. Bring peace upon your children who are crying out to you. See our tears great Jehovah Rophe, and heal us. Make us strong again. Help us to take a stand against the enemy that is scared and striking harder and harder during our trials. Help us to beat the enemy down. Please Daddy, help us keep our armor of You on and to fight, to be another David.

Jehovah Shalom, bring peace among Your children. Fill us with the Holy Spirit. Let us hear Your sweet voice, let us feel Your presence. Remind those that are becoming weaker and weaker that You are there, that You have not left them. Daddy, you said when You have but 99 of 100 that you would go look for that one stray and carry him back to Your flock. You are the Almighty the Loving God of all. Please Jehovah Rophe, bring healing upon your great nation! Let Valerie Lynn and her family feel Your healing hands right now Father, right now!!! In Jesus Name I pray.

Let all those that are straying be led back to You Daddy. For we are Your children. We hunger for You Daddy. We thirst for Your leadership. We desire to be Christ like. Please Daddy, hear us asking, see us seeking, hear us knocking. We are knocking loud. And now we shall remain silent and listen for your sweet voice and your direction. Thank you Sweet Father, for listening, for leading, for guiding, for strength, for being patient with my long plea, as You already know our needs. Thank You Father, Thank You Jesus. In Jesus Holy Name I pray, Amen.

After reading this prayer, please take a moment to sit in silence and wait upon Him. Together we are stronger than one. Together, in unity with God we shall over come. For there is nothing He can't handle. There is nothing that He can't do. We MUST hold onto Faith. We MUST believe in our Heavenly Father, for we are nothing without Him. We can not do it on our own. Gather your strength. Think positively. The more we allow negative thoughts, the less strength we have. Stand firm! Focus straight ahead on Jesus! Take that leap of faith and step out of the boat, always focusing on Jesus. Yes, we can fight back the enemy no matter how weak we feel. WE CAN DO THIS!!!

May God pour His blessings upon you abundantly. May you feel the ripple affect of His love. Remember to keep P.U.S.H.ing (Pray Until Something Happens)! God Bless You All

Prayer Requests

My dear friends, I have a request of prayer from all of you. My heart is hurting right now, but I know He will take care of it. I've noticed the enemy striking and working hard all over the world, working hard on breaking us down. Trust me, this is not a pity party I'm having, just a sharing of what I see right now, and it's almost brought me down. But God's faithfulness and strength has lifted me back up and I know that no matter what, I must focus, keep walking forward, and hold on to faith. It sure does get hard sometimes though, doesn't it?

Any way, I have friend who wants nothing more than to be fulfilled with the Lord. She seeks Him all the time. Her heart yearns for her husband to do the same, but he won't even discuss it with her. She is going through a tough time and unable to read the Bible and is having difficulty praying. Another is going through similar trials. She is having a hard time focusing and knowing what to do with her time. Her husband had been seriously hurt in a church and will not go back, discuss the Lord with her and does not want to hear about it. She so desires to have him return.

It breaks your heart to see such beautiful women experiencing this. So if you could pray for them. I'm not giving out names for obvious reasons. He knows who you are praying for. Another woman and her husband are having dire financial problems, plus there is a chance her husband may lose his job. Please pray for them. They have three beautiful boys too. She has given herself to the Lord, but her husband hasn't. We need the husbands to come to the Lord, as they are the leaders of the home. They need to be able to righteously uphold the home and family. Let's pray hard for this.

Our son has had a set back with his meds. It was a bit uneasy for the past two days, but thankfully he knew he needed help and got it. Pray for healing in him and the breaking of generational curses of mental illness. It runs heavy on my side of the family.

We were suppose to finally see our sons two kids this weekend, but of course with what he is facing, it isn't possible. I've come down with the crud. So weak and sleepy and my face feels like it is going to explode. But I am believing I will be healed soon. Pray for healing so that I can go visit the kids at least.

My dad had fallen on ice a little over a week ago and broke some ribs. They were concerned about his liver due to the location of the break. He is suppose to be taking it easy and doing no lifting. Well, he's a stubborn man, had gone to a Catholic school, faithfully went to church, and then quit. He believes, but something is holding him back. He is a very, very giving man. Always giving of himself, but will not ask for help. They heat their home with a wood stove. He's been going out and hauling in wood. My sister who has the back problems drove out with her son so he could haul wood in for him. Yesterday dad got up as he was in pain and put some wood in the stove. Mom got up and told him to go back to bed as it was 4 am. So he did. He tried to get back out of bed when he woke up and popped something in his back. He was unable to get up. Mom had to help him after he laid there for awhile groaning. She finally heard him.

My little sister finally had an MRI done on her back. They messed up and didn't do the lumps. She did find out that she has ruptured discs and bone fragments pushing into her sciatic nerve. The earliest she can see the Neurosurgeon is the 17th. Meanwhile, her husband and sons are not being of much help. They won't bathe the girls (the ones they just got custody of before all this happened), they won't clean the house, and she is not to do any lifting or bending of any kind. She is to keep her back straight. She couldn't take it any more and got up and gave the girls baths, cleaned the bathroom, scrubbed the kitchen floor on her hands and knees, and cleaned up the kitchen. She's a very thorough neat housekeeper. Anything remotely getting dirty, or something out of place drives her nuts. The beginning of the weak she talked of them letting trash bags full pile up in the house. Grrrrr. She has a heart of gold. She is like our dad, always giving of herself. While working in the nursing home, she kicked some behinds and whipped the place into shape. Residents hadn't been receiving proper care. Many were being neglected. Air tanks were not being checked. It was sad. She finally got many of the workers there to take pride in what they were doing, boosted moral, and got many of the workers to open their eyes as to how much those residents could bring happiness and how rewarding it was to take care of them. I'm so proud of her. She is a good woman in the Lord following His plans for her. She worked despite the constant chronic pain she was in. Those residents meant the world to her and she strived to make sure they were happy. She would take time to help them, even though she wasn't an aide or a nurse. She was laundry. She had worked as an aide years back, but her body can't take it any more. The laundry was hard on her too, but she stuck it out until now.

Then I have another sister that had thyroid cancer. Now they are thinking she has cancer somewhere else, along with other problems and is needing an operation, which they don't want to do, as she has blood clots in her legs that they can not get rid of. So she is a high risk.

A friend whose father is going down hill quickly. Another whose mother is in and out.

Now, on a good note--I should have put this all first--we finally get to see all our grandchildren! Praise the Lord. My lil' sis, come to find out was out of groceries, and had rent due. They were waiting on a check from her hubby's brother, but it never showed on time. They had to pay rent, which meant no food for two weeks. Low and behold. The day they "had" to pay the rent, her middle son received a check from way back when. It happened because he had called the company and asked for his W2's. This was from a place he had worked at where they used to live. He didn't even know he still had a check coming. Guess what, her son let her have the money for rent. The check was for $4.00 more than their rent! They were able to pay rent and get groceries. Hallelujah!!! God's timing is perfect. My mothers health is improving day by day. God is good.

This is why I'm asking for everyone to be praying diligently, and hard that the enemy is knocked down. That the cabal over our country is replaced by the glorious light of the Lord. We will not let the enemy take control. We will take a stand and fight the enemy.

I have to admit, the phone call from my sister was what almost broke me down, then I received a message from one of my friends, I started to get down; and then with her needs, I realized and said, "NO!!! you will not bring me down. I will not let you take me too. I'm a daughter of the Almighty God. I believe in Him and I trust in Him. You are not going to break my faith. No way, no how. I know I need to cast my cares up to Him and trust in Him to take care of it all."

Whew!!! Just writing this lifted a load off of my shoulders. He's moving right now. He's healing right now. Ask and He shall answer. Seek and we shall find. Knock and He will open the door. Oh Thank You Heavenly Father. Daddy, Daddy, Daddy, we need You so now. Bring heaven down to earth. Shake the people alive. Wake them up to You. Open their ears, their eyes, and their souls. Fill us with the Holy Spirit. Don us all with the Armor of God. Anoint us with a covering. Surround us with a hedge of protection. Cover us with the Blood of Jesus, and seal it in Jesus Name I pray. Thank You Daddy, Thank You Jesus! You are the Almighty, the Alpha and Omega, El Shaddai, Elohim, El Rohi, Jehovah Jireh, Jehova Ra'ah, El Elyon, Adonai, Jehovah Rophe, Sweet Father in Heaven. We love You, We thank You. We believe Daddy, we believe! In Jesus Sweet Name, Amen!

God's Promises: Friday

Freedom from Sin; Self Righteousness; Comfort; Contentment; Food & Clothing; Death; Success; Long Life; Trust; Redemption of Sin. Taken from the NIV.

Freedom from Sin: 2 Corinthians 5:17: "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"
When we give ourselves to Christ, our sins are forgiven. We need to also forgive ourselves.

Self Righteousness: Jeremiah 2: 35: "You say, 'I am innocent; he is not angry with me.' But I will pass judgment on you because you say, 'I have not sinned."
Not taking responsibility for our actions is wrong. We may not suffer the consequences right away, but He never forgets what we have done. Repent of your sins.

Comfort: Psalm 22:24: "For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one: he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help."
He's always listening. We can take comfort in knowing He is always there.

Contentment: Proverbs 14:30: "A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones."
Plain and simply put, worry, envy, jealousy, all hurts one physically and mentally. It's just not worth putting ourselves through this.

Food & Clothing: Proverbs 13:25: "The righteous eat to their hearts content, but the stomach of the wicked one goes hungry."
Be a follower in the Lord and want not. Be a vengeful, mean, do it myself attitude and suffer.

Death: Romans 5:9: "Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath though him!"
Just because we have been saved does not say we will receive eternal life. We must follow His commands, obey, and live a righteous life in the Lord.

Success: Isaiah 30:23: "He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your calltel will graze in broad meadows."
Isn't it great how we are provided for and given what we need to survive when we put our trust in Him? Hallelujah!

Long Life: Proverbs 17:6: "Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children."
It's one big circle. What we show our children is what they carry on. If we lead them correctly, they will carry that on to their children and so forth. So we must always be aware of our actions if we want to see our children become successful.

Trust: Proverbs 3: 5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We can't do it alone. We may want to and think we can, but without God, we have and we are nothing.

Redemption from Sin: 1 John 2: 1-2: "My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense--Jesus
Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
We should always be thankful and give thanks at all times for the great sacrifices that were made for our freedom of sin. It's a dishonor to Jesus and the Father when we go on sinning and never feel remorse for what we have done.

God's Promises: Friday

Freedom from Sin; Self Righteousness; Comfort; Contentment; Food & Clothing; Death; Success; Long Life; Trust; and Redemption of Sin. Taken from the CBS Version.

Freedom from Sin: Romans 6:6-7: "For we know that our old self was crucified with Him in order that sin's dominion over the body may be abolished, so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin, 7 since a person who has died is freed from sin's claims."
Wow! What a great sacrifice God and Jesus made for us. Do we have a right to complain about how hard we have it? Do you stop and think about the sacrifices He made for us? When one does, we should be able to refrain from sinning much easier.
Self Righteousness: Isaiah 5:21: "Woe to those who are wise in their own opinion and clever in their own sight."
Without Him, we are nothing. For those who try to go it alone, something always manages to happen.
Comfort: Psalm 18:2: "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my mountain where I seek refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."
I'll tell you what, whenever I'm starting to let my guard down and the enemy starts to sneek in, you can really tell the difference. Stay in the prescenc of the Lord and life is so much more exciting.
Contentment: Proverbs 15:15: "All the days of the oppressed are miserable, but a cheerful heart has a continual feast."
Amen and Hallelujah to that! Be happy, don't worry, cast all your cares and worries up to the Lord. He will take care of us!
Food and Clothing: Psalm 111:5: "He has provided food for those who fear Him; he remembers His covenant forever."
The Lord will make sure we are provided with all necessities.
Death: Proverbs 14:32: "The wicked are thrown down by their own sin, but the righteous have a refuge when they die."
How sweet is that. Follow the Lord our God for eternity in paradise, or don't follow and suffer for all eternity. Ewww, gives me the shivers just thinking about it. I believe!!!
Success: Deuteronomy 30:9: "The Lord your God will make you prosper abundantly in all the work of your hands with children, the offspring of your livestock, and your soil's produce. Indeed, the Lord will again delight in your prosperity, as He delighted in that of your fathers."
Do as you are expected and you will be rewarded!
Long Life: Proverbs 20:29: "The glory of young men is their strength, and the splendor of old men is gray hair."
Ah yes, the splendor of gray hair, the crown of glory. Life for eternity when you give yourself to the Lord, believe, baptized, and repent of all sins.
Trust: Psalm 37: 3-5: "Trust in the Lord and do what is good; dwell in the land and live securely. 4 Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart's desires. 5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act."
Life is much better when we put our trust and faith in His hands. Believe and receive goodness. You must believe wholeheartedly though, not just a part time believer/follower.
Redemption of Sin: 1 John 3:5: "Jesus answered, 'I assure you: Unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God."
One must be baptized in order to enter into the Kingdom of God.One must be baptized in order to enter into the Kingdom of God.

God's Promises: Friday

Freedom from Sin; Self Righteousness; Comfort; Contentment; Food & Clothing; Death, Success; Long Life; Trust; and Redemption of Sin. CBS (Christian Standard Bible).

A quick note first: For those who are wondering, P.U.S.H. stands for Pray Until Something Happens. This comes from hon at God is Our Love. Thank you hon for sharing. It's a good reminder.

Freedom from Sin: Acts 10:43: "All the prophets testify about Him that through His name everyone who believes in Him will receive forgiveness of sins."
How awesome is that!

Self Righteousness: Proverbs 12:15: "A fool's way is right in his own eyes, but whoever listens to counsel is wise."
Need anything more be said?

Comfort: Psalm 138: 7 "If I walk in the thick of danger, You will preserve my life from the anger of my enemies. You will extend Your hand; Your right hand will save me."
Oh how true this is. I can testify to that fact. I've had the His hand reach down and save me. Thank You Lord!

Contentment: Hebrews 13:5: "Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, 'I will never leave you or forsake you."

Food & Clothing: Palm 147:14: "He endows your territory with prosperity; He satisfies you with the finest wheat."
He will always provide for His people.

Death: 1 Corinthians 15:55: "O Death, where is your victory? O Death where is your sting?"
Death is not something to fear, for when we die, if we are followers of Him, we will be going to a much better place.

Success: Deuteronomy 30:9: "The Lord your God will make you prosper abundantly in all the work of your hands with children, the offspring of your livestock, and your soil's produce. Indeed the Lord will again delight in your prosperity, as He delighted in that of your fathers."
Is He an Awesome God or what?

Long Life: Job 12:12-13: "Wisdom is found with the elderly, and understanding comes with long life. 13 Wisdom and strength belong to God; counsel and understanding are His."
Follow and have a long life.

Trust: Psalm 84:11-12: "For the Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord gives grace and glory; He does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity. 12 Lord of Hosts, happy is the person who trusts in You!"
Hallelujah and Amen!

Redemption of Sin: Acts: 13:38: "Therefore, let it be know to you, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you."
Thank You Lord!!!

Have a great weekend everyone and May God Pour His Blessings Upon You All!

God's Promises: Friday

Today's subjects consist of: Freedom from Sin; Self Righteousness; Comfort; Contentment; Food & Clothing; Death; Success; Long Life; Trust; and Redemption from Sin. The context is from the NKJV.

Freedom from Sin: Ezekiel 36:25-26: "Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
What God wants for us a fresh new begining of a fresh spirit so that we will have the desire to do His work. He wants us to transform to His ways; and not to just exist doing our own thing.

Self Righteousness: Proverbs: 30:12-13: "There is a generation that is pure in it's own eyes, yet is not washed from it's filthiness. 13There is a generation--oh, how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up.
If we look at today, there are many that do not believe, that do not respect their parents and others. They feel that they are the ones that matter only, have it all, and can do as they please. This is of all ages. These are the people we need to be praying for, that they may be saved and quit living in the flesh.

Comfort: Psalms 46:1-3: "God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in throuble. Therefore we will not fear. Even thougth the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though it's waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with it's swelling."
No matter what, if we put ourselves in God's hands, we will be okay. We need not worry when with Him, He will not leave us; He will always care for and provide for us.

Contentment: Proverbs 17:22: "A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.
When we allow ourselves to be content and in the arms of our Father, we are able to have a light heart. When we live in the ways of the world in the flesh, our spirits become broken and we live in pain. We become a broken people.

Food & Clothing: Joel 2:26: "You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and my people shall never be put to shame."
When we are thankful for our Lord our God, He takes care of us, provides for us, and makes sure we are happy. Always remember to thank Him. He deserves our praises to Him.

Death: Psalm 23:4: "Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
No matter what our circumstances, He is there to protect us. All we need to do is believe and turn our worries and cares over to Him.

Success: Proverbs 15:6: "In the house of righteousness there is much treasure, but in the revenue of the wicked is trouble."
As long as you come by your means legally and honestly, you will be well provided for. If you are a thief and a liar, coming by your wealth in a dishonest manner, you will have pain and suffering.

Long Life: Isaiah 46:4: "Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you."
Is this a great promise or what. As it states in the Footprints poem, during hard times and trials, He does not leave us, it's then that He is carrying us, and this is so when we age and perhaps become frail. How sweet that is.

Trust: Psalm 46:1-2: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and the though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea."
This is just as comfort, we must also trust in Him to provide, care for, and in healing.

Redemption from Sin: Matthew 1:21 "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins."
This is our promise for salvation. The promise that Christ will deliver us salvation.

Have a truly Blessed day in the Lord our God! Amen

Economic Disaster

When reading another bloggers post it gave me an idea for one to write.
Many are overwhelmed, sickened, saddened, or just plain scared about the way the economy is headed. Some have pulled money out of the banks feeling that there is no way their money can be safe there. Some are stocking up on things that will last a long time. Perhaps this is wise; I do not know. Some are wondering about stocks, savings, 401Ks etc. It is a perplexing time in our lives.

But there is one thing we must remember. The Lord hands us no more than we can handle. We must hold steadfast in believing He will take care of us. Instead of doing what "we" think we should do, we need to go to Him and ask what it is He wants us to do.

Taking a stand together, praying for release of the enemy that has taken control of our economics, politics, government, the people, etc. Praying for sustenance in our lives. Praying for a leader of the country to be righteous and just and follow the words of the Lord.

Let us not pannick. Let us come together, unified, standing side-by-side with the Lord, walking with Him. Let us stay calm and not bend to the pressure. Worry, pannick, anger, stress, all opens doors to the enemy. We can stop the madness by taking a stand together in God.

Trust, Stand, Pray, Believe, Obey, Love. As I mentioned in an earlier post; our Pastors son spoke on the ever lasting love of God. His love never fails us. He has never changed His ways in any way at any time. We must do the same for Him. All those in agreement, please sign in the comment area at least. Thank you and God Bless!

Remember, smile, be warm, keep the faith, share His Glory, and be Loving!
