Marriage Monday

I'm joining Denise at Shorty Bears Place with Marriage Monday. I thought this was a great way to share the great works of our Lord!

My hubby and I have been married 27 years. It hasn't been all glorious, but thanks to the Lord, it has been the best two years that has made the whole 27 years worthwhile. When we gave ourselfs to the Lord, our marriage became the strongest it's ever been. I'm so grateful to the work the Lord has done with him. He's become my rock, soul mate, best friend, glorious earth father and grand father, and the most wonderful husband a woman could ever ask for.

Don't get me wrong. I've always loved him through thick and thin. I took my vows seriously when I married him. I vowed to never break them. We both made mistakes, but I believe it happened so that we could grow stronger together. I strongly believe it takes two to make or break a relationship. My hubby takes a lot on his shoulders for the problems we had, but I believe we both had an equal share in that. Besides, the Lord wants us to look forward, not behind. We learned from our mistakes, and that's what matters.

He now has more faith than I could have ever imagined. He leads our family in ways I would never have thought possible in my wildest dreams. He's teaching me every day. I draw a lot of strength from him. I'm proud of all that he does, and love spending any free moment we have together. I look forward to the rest of our lives together. He's an amazing man, and I knew from the moment I saw him that he was a keeper. ;) God works in misterious wonderful ways. I thank God for him daily.

Two Thousand Mark

I've hit the 2,000 mark on visitors! I just want to say thank you to all who visit here. I hope you get something out of it. My goal is to touch hearts with the word of the Lord, bring laughter, and show the joy that children have to offer. For without the Lord, we are nothing.

You have no idea how much each of you bless me. You show of kindness, your kind words, your sharing of love, and being there. Everyone of you has a special place in my heart. Visiting your blogs brings joy to my heart, as I learn so much. Even through the times of hardship, there are lessons to be learned. There is also many laughs that are shared, which brightens the day. I wish I was good with words. The main thing I'm trying to say is Thank You, you all are such a joy to know. The friendships that continue to grow are beautiful. Looking forward to more sharing of what ever gifts we all bring to one another.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! May the Good Lord Shine His Light Upon Each One of You. Pour His blessings out on to each and everyone of you. Love to all!

FAITH

On the way home from the Catalyst Conference tonight I was hit with a revelation. A man a few days ago talked of how bad of shape our country is in, how are we going to recover, that it was up to the citizens to do a major part, but the government was needed to pick up the rest, but how was it going to happen and blah, blah, blah.

Well it hit me tonight, we are to be careful of wolves in sheep's clothing. What if a person talks negative and makes things look bleaker than they really are to make those that supposedly cause it look even worse, and then starts showing how things are better, when they weren't that bad to begin with, to make themselves look good? Did you catch all that. :)

For instance; John just made of a mess of this business, with the help of his cronies. It's up to us to fix it and make changes. But it's such a mess, I'm not sure we are going to be able to fix things. But, the business isn't in that big of a mess, Joe blow knows that, but painted an ugly picture. Then miraculously things turn around and Joe blow comes out smelling like a rose.

So the messages last night and tonight, Faith; God; Jesus; humbled; forward; and positive. We must believe in our Father. He will lead us, provide for us, care for us, etc. We must move forward, keep hope and faith, and press forward. Don't live in the past. MOVE FORWARD IN FAITH! We can't listen to everything we hear.

God is moving and is doing great things. I'm believing this year is going to be a great year. Is He going to hand us some rough times. Probably, but it's to bring us closer to Him. When you are walking on that water, KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS!!!

One more thing. That garbage heap behind you that you keep feeding off of. Get rid of it. It's not good. It's negative, rotten, stinky. You don't need it. Look forward, not behind, leave the past behind you. Repent for your sins, let them go, live in Faith Hope and Love!!!

God loves us all! He's a loving, forgiving God. Hold on to that. Turn to Him in times of need, in times of trouble. All you have to do is ASK. Pastor tonight said something good; "God only works on our expectations." What are you expecting in life?

Your Work is Your Ministry Too

Where ever you work in the secular world, it is your ministry. OS Hillman from Prime Time with God talked of this. Many don't see how you can minister at work as they do not know what this means.

My hubby had discussed this very topic a while back, as his boss was struggling. That's when the Lord talked to him and told him to follow the way of the Lord while at work, to let the light of the Lord shine through him. Hubby was getting really stressed from all that was going on at work. Once he started praying while on the road, and reading during his breaks, calling upon the Lord when he felt frustration setting in, and using a soft, not sharp tongue towards people, the stress level lifted immensely. I had my hubby back!

So as I had stated in an earlier post, as Pastor Iverson stated, "When you are walking on water, keep your focus on Jesus." I know my whole attitude while I have the grandchildren is going to be so much better now. I'll be ministering while working!!! Imagine the difference that is going to make.

It also made me think of family. While being a parent (this is a job), one must minister in order to lead our children in the right direction. While being family member and a friend, one must be ministering. As when we let our guard down, we become faithless, hopeless, and loveless. When we aren't living by the Bible, we lose all that and allow the enemy in. Boy how I learned that lesson recently big time.

Most of us know this is what we are to be doing, but it is easy to let the secular and flesh of life creep back in and we lose what we need to get through life. I don't know about you, but I'm going to be focusing on two things more now. That is focusing on Jesus while walking on water, and shining with the light of the Lord, (ministering). I'm also going to take this year to get to know the Bible much better. I've been a procrastinator and it drives me nuts not have a close understanding of it all yet. But, it is all by His timing. God's perfect timing. He's really put a desire, a fire in my heart now. Praise God!

God Bless you always and remember to always P.U.S.H.

Economic Disaster

When reading another bloggers post it gave me an idea for one to write.
Many are overwhelmed, sickened, saddened, or just plain scared about the way the economy is headed. Some have pulled money out of the banks feeling that there is no way their money can be safe there. Some are stocking up on things that will last a long time. Perhaps this is wise; I do not know. Some are wondering about stocks, savings, 401Ks etc. It is a perplexing time in our lives.

But there is one thing we must remember. The Lord hands us no more than we can handle. We must hold steadfast in believing He will take care of us. Instead of doing what "we" think we should do, we need to go to Him and ask what it is He wants us to do.

Taking a stand together, praying for release of the enemy that has taken control of our economics, politics, government, the people, etc. Praying for sustenance in our lives. Praying for a leader of the country to be righteous and just and follow the words of the Lord.

Let us not pannick. Let us come together, unified, standing side-by-side with the Lord, walking with Him. Let us stay calm and not bend to the pressure. Worry, pannick, anger, stress, all opens doors to the enemy. We can stop the madness by taking a stand together in God.

Trust, Stand, Pray, Believe, Obey, Love. As I mentioned in an earlier post; our Pastors son spoke on the ever lasting love of God. His love never fails us. He has never changed His ways in any way at any time. We must do the same for Him. All those in agreement, please sign in the comment area at least. Thank you and God Bless!

Remember, smile, be warm, keep the faith, share His Glory, and be Loving!
