The Smiles Award

I was visiting Connie's Blog at Connie's Turning 50 and found this cute button. I thought I would share it with you. When I saw it, it made me smile. Mary designed this and was freely giving it away to anyone who visited her blog and asked that it be passed on to bloggers who make us smile. Connie said, "If you are visiting here and you're smiling, go ahead and grab the award and let's keep it going around blogland." It made me smile too. Just look at it. So I grabbed it and now I'm saying the same thing to you. Let's keep the smiles going!!!

God's Promises: Friday

Freedom from Sin; Self Righteousness; Comfort; Contentment; Food & Clothing; Death; Success; Long Life; Trust; and Redemption of Sin. Taken from the CBS Version.

Freedom from Sin: Romans 6:6-7: "For we know that our old self was crucified with Him in order that sin's dominion over the body may be abolished, so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin, 7 since a person who has died is freed from sin's claims."
Wow! What a great sacrifice God and Jesus made for us. Do we have a right to complain about how hard we have it? Do you stop and think about the sacrifices He made for us? When one does, we should be able to refrain from sinning much easier.
Self Righteousness: Isaiah 5:21: "Woe to those who are wise in their own opinion and clever in their own sight."
Without Him, we are nothing. For those who try to go it alone, something always manages to happen.
Comfort: Psalm 18:2: "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my mountain where I seek refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."
I'll tell you what, whenever I'm starting to let my guard down and the enemy starts to sneek in, you can really tell the difference. Stay in the prescenc of the Lord and life is so much more exciting.
Contentment: Proverbs 15:15: "All the days of the oppressed are miserable, but a cheerful heart has a continual feast."
Amen and Hallelujah to that! Be happy, don't worry, cast all your cares and worries up to the Lord. He will take care of us!
Food and Clothing: Psalm 111:5: "He has provided food for those who fear Him; he remembers His covenant forever."
The Lord will make sure we are provided with all necessities.
Death: Proverbs 14:32: "The wicked are thrown down by their own sin, but the righteous have a refuge when they die."
How sweet is that. Follow the Lord our God for eternity in paradise, or don't follow and suffer for all eternity. Ewww, gives me the shivers just thinking about it. I believe!!!
Success: Deuteronomy 30:9: "The Lord your God will make you prosper abundantly in all the work of your hands with children, the offspring of your livestock, and your soil's produce. Indeed, the Lord will again delight in your prosperity, as He delighted in that of your fathers."
Do as you are expected and you will be rewarded!
Long Life: Proverbs 20:29: "The glory of young men is their strength, and the splendor of old men is gray hair."
Ah yes, the splendor of gray hair, the crown of glory. Life for eternity when you give yourself to the Lord, believe, baptized, and repent of all sins.
Trust: Psalm 37: 3-5: "Trust in the Lord and do what is good; dwell in the land and live securely. 4 Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart's desires. 5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act."
Life is much better when we put our trust and faith in His hands. Believe and receive goodness. You must believe wholeheartedly though, not just a part time believer/follower.
Redemption of Sin: 1 John 3:5: "Jesus answered, 'I assure you: Unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God."
One must be baptized in order to enter into the Kingdom of God.One must be baptized in order to enter into the Kingdom of God.

God's Promises: Thursday

Joy; Meekness; Patience; Honesty; Wisdom; Sickness; Obedience; Courage; Fear; Hope; (CBS Version)

Joy: Psalm 4:7: "You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and new wine abound."
With the Lord, we can experience greater joy!

Meekness: Psalm 22:26: "The humble will eat and be sastified; those who seek the Lord will praise Him. May your hearts live forever."
Humble yourselves before the Lord. Have faith in Him. Believen and follow Him and you will be provided for. Give Him praise as well and you will find eternity.

Patience: Hebrews 10:23: "Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."
We should be faithful as our Father is. Follow His ways, wait upon Him. He always answers, even though it may not be in the manner we would like.

Honesty: Leviticus 19:35: "You must not act unfairly in measurements of length, weight, or volume."
Honesty is the best policy no matter how we look at it.

Wisdom: Psalm 32:8: "I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with My eye on you, I will give counsel."
All we have to do is listen. Meditate on the Lord. Read the word, follow.

Sickness: Jeremiah 17:14: "Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are my praise."
Once again, ASK Ask and you shall receive.

Obedience: Deuteronomy 6:3: "Listen, Israel, and be careful to follow [them], so that you may prosper and multiply greatly, because the Lord, the God of your fathers, has promised you a land flowing with milk and honey."

Courage: Isaiah 43:1: "Now this is what the Lord says--the One who created you, Jacob, and the One who fromed you, Israel--'Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine."
Just simply place your hand in His and he will be there. You have nothing to fear. Cast all your cares and your worries up to the Lord.

Fear: Isaiah 41:13: "For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand and say to you: Do not fear, I will help you."
We have the promise of our Lord our God. What more do we need?

Hope: 1 Peter 1:13: "Therefore, get your minds ready for action, being self-disciplined, and set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ."
Oh yes, just believe, pray and believe, we will be taken care of!!! Hallelujah!

Ice Storm out East and Central Areas

Hey all, please be praying for all the families affected by the ice storm hitting the central and easter states. There are several without heat, electricity, water and what not. I just read Kari and Kijsa's blog and they have been without all since Tues. They do have water at Kisja's and that is where the two families are camping out for the time being. This is taking place in Kentucky. There are many through out the U.S. that are experiencing this.

Let's stand together and ask that the storm resides and everyone is given back their electricity, gas, water, etc. That everyone is kept safe, and survives this storm. That the homeless are spared any autrocities. We must lift up our fellow citizens of this great country. Pray, and believe!

Irritable Bowl Syndrome Help!

The following is a letter I had received from a very dear friend about solutions for IBS. She gave me permission to share this in hope that it will help others as well. This is very good news.

Well, in the past 24 hrs, a lot of resolutions for Amber. Praise God for that! For weeks, Amber has suffered from naseau, stomach pain, and I was so frusrated not being able to help her. All the medicines doctors gave her didn't work. They kept telling us, give it time to work. Night after night Amber kept waking up sick, and sick in the morning, and nothing helped. Well, I now have the answers, and I'm very happy to say that, and it works!!! Some of you have e-mailed me back stating that you struggle with IBS(Irritable bowel syndrome) too; so I wanted to share what my mom referred me to. It's a website helpwithibs.com, and then told me to go to Heather's tummy care. What she suggests is really awesome. And she gives on her website the locations of these places to get these items or you can order them on-line.

Since we live in Boise, we went to the Boise Coop store. My mom said these three things really work. Peppermint oil capsules with ginger & fennel. Ya take one with a little bit of water, and it desolves in the intestine, and soothes and helps adominal pain, cramps, bloating, gas and nauseated feeling. Amber took one tonight, and within 30 min. she noticed that she wasn't nauseated anymore--it really works.
Next, fennel tea; it's a tea that relaxes the digestive tract, and soothes nauseau. One tea bag lasts all day, and I tasted it, it tastes okay. So Amber can sip on that whenever she wants to.
And finally, Acacia fiber; it moves everything along without direahea, and constipation. All the combined, makes Amber a very happy girl.
But not only that, we bought the cookbook by Heather; Eating for IBS. Ya know me, I don't really cook a lot, but I read 40 pgs already of this book, and I have to say, she's very wise and knows what she's talking about. And the recipes; all 177 of them, aren't hard to make. Heather knows as from the age of 9yrs old with IBS, and no resolution, she found resolutions. She also lists in detail, good foods and bad foods for IBS. And just in reading that, I already have the general idea of what I need to get at the grocery store for Amber, and what foods need to be avoided, and its really not gonna be that hard to do. And I will not have my dear Amber waking up...mommy my tummy hurts..anymore.
Praise God for his quick revelation and wisdom. Praise God for his goodness and mercy. If you know anyone, I mean anyone who's cramping, hurting, stomach pain, naseated, gas or bloated or constipation/direahea..and they don't know whats wrong with them, and doctors just tell them to stop complaining, stop whining, or, here's a drug, this should fix it, its probably IBS. And I'm telling you, what I just said, really, really works. So there is no need for anyone to suffer from this. My mom told me this works, really works, and from Amber going from mommy, my stomach is nauseated, to saying, "Wow! My stomach doesn't hurt anymore mommy. I feel good." And best of all this is not drugs of any kind, its all natural. So, if ya know anyone else that needs help, you now have the answers.

This is a follow up letter:

Amber didn't wake up at all last night and this morning, her tummy was fine. She was happy to go to school. After sending off the email last night, I noticed from drinking the tea, that it made me a little bit dizzy for approx 5 min, and then I was fine. My guess is that it not only relaxes the digestive track, but the rest of your body. Amber felt that too for about 5 min.
I don't think its dangerous at all, but maybe only use the tea if you're at home, not driving around. The peppermint pill capsules do great, no side effects that I noticed. I took one last night, because my stomach was hurting me somewhat and I thought I would check it out since Amber is taking them. They seem to do fine. Take the Acacia fiber twice a day. It mixes with water. There is no taste at all to it, none. Ya put it in the glass, stir it up, let it settle, stir it again, and then drink it. So,the only thing in question at this point, is the tea. I think its okay. Maybe take it at home only.

Pastor Weiner's Message

***Please read First Day of Group before reading this message. Thank you.***

The morning with Pastor Bob Weiner.

Genesis 1:26-28: Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, all the earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.' 27 So God created man in His own image; He created him in the image of God; He created them male and female. 28 God blessed them, and god said to them, 'Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue. Rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every creature that crawls on the earth."

We are called to raise up the world charges and be history makers.

Galatians 3:29: "And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, heirs according to the promise."

God made a covenant with Abraham. Every nation shall be changed and raised up.

When we think of the nations we shall pray first on the nations, then separate countries, then America, then states, then others, leaving ourselves last. We should never pray for ourselves first. We should be lifting up the nations, looking to the Kingdom of God. It's not focus on the family, it's focus on the Kingdom of God. We shall go to Him for everything.

What is the greatest inheritance we can leave our children?
The nations, through the kingdom of God.

Psalms 2:8: "Ask of me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance and the ends of the earth Your possession."

Deuteronomy 8:18: "But remember that the Lord your God gives you the power to gain wealth, in order to confirm His covenant He swore to your fathers, as it is today."

Your children are your arrows.
Train up your child the way they should grow.
Revival
Reformation of Society (arts, science, education, business, sports, medicine, family).
Restoration of the New Testament Church

Pastor Weiner had suffered a heart attack at the age of 38. He is now 60 something. When he asked the Lord why he had suffered a heart attack after being loyal and faithful to the Lord and doing all that he had been led to do; the Lord answered, "Because of pride." What? I'm not prideful he thought. Then the Lord told him, "You have placed the whole burden of the church upon your own shoulders. Taking the burden is the highest form of pride."

If we are taking on more than the Lord has told us to do; if we are taking on what we want and not what he wants; if we are trying to do it all; we are being prideful.

Get rid of that bondage. Delicate, let others help. Listen to what the Father tells you to do. Do not go it alone. It doesn't work. Look at what can happen when we don't listen.

1 Peter 5:5-7: "Likewise, you younger men, be subject to the elders. And all of you clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. 6 Humble, yourselves therefore under the might hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, because He cares about you."

Greater grace goes to the humbled. Humility casting all your cares and worries to Jesus because He cares for you.
We are reminded that our faith is not big enough for Him. Raise your faith another step higher.
If you are worried about losing 20 % of say your house, why are you worrying when you have gained 150%. Quit worrying. Cast all your cares up to the Lord.

Are you taking on more than you should? Are you not following His instructions?

Get rid of anything that is not necessary in your life. To to a higher faith!!!

Do you have a little faith, or a big faith. Fill up your tank with faith.

1. Choose whether you have little faith or big faith.
2. Have faith
Romans 12:3: "For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one."
3. Exercise your faith muscle. Get rid of all the garbage in your life.
4. Walk by faith not by sight.

You must take your thoughts to a higher faith.
Thoughts = Hope
Hope = Faith
Faith = Success & Results

Thoughtless = Hopelessness
Hopelessness = Faithless
Faithless = No results, no success, nothing pain, agony, etc.

Everything starts with your thoughts.
Move your thought life up. Don't settle for less than 9.5 % or less. Take every thought captive.
Receive an apostolic gift of faith.

His youngest daughter Evangeline Weiner has written a book called: The calling of a Generation.
She's also filming in another country, but for the life of me can not remember for sure. Sorry.
Of course this isn't all that Pastor Weiner had said. He talked to fast to get it all. Wish I had taken my voice recorder with. Hope you all got something out of this. It was really good, and we all had a wonderful experience.

First Day of Group

Wow, I have so much to share with you all right now, I'm so excited, I just don't know where to start. :)
Pastor Connie started Capital Christian Women's Group today. It was one of the most uplifting experiences I have ever been involved in. I'm overflowing right now. I left there with chills (the good ones) coursing through my body, light on my feet, and feeling I've gone a step or more higher in faith. So with that said, I'm going to start out with what happened to me last night and go from there.

Last night I talked to my little sister to find out she is in a world of pain. The doctor has her on 2 different pain pills and it's not helping her at all. She is unable to work. Unable to lift the babies. Good thing her husband isn't working right now. She is so down right now, but...her faith has not left her. Also, she found out the mother of the babies is going to take them to court again to fight for the little ones.

Needless to say, after having just talked to my parents and hearing how the Lord has answered so many prayers for them, I felt deflated. Yes, I let go of faith to some degree, not completely mind you. I was hurt, frustrated, started thinking stupid things, angry. I just wanted to shout out to God, "Why? Why? She's a faithful woman in you Lord. She's following your plan for her. Why are you doing this to her. She's been suffering for so long, and you just keep piling stuff on her. Why?"

So I went upstairs where I can feel His presence so much stronger. I sat there crying and praying for healing. Then he came to me and reminded me, Forward child. Keep your focus on the Jesus. I saw Him standing on water, and I was in a boat, and He said, "Step out of the boat, keep your focus on Jesus, keep Faith in Him." So I stepped out of the boat and smiled, as I was walking on water to Him and He took me in his arms! What a beautiful feeling that was. Then I realized that I just needed to keep faith in the matter. I was still battling with what I was to do. Should I go help out, should I stay here as I have my grand kids to tend to? What was I to do. So I went back down and laid and talked with my hubby.

I so love this man of the Lord. He told me that this is in the Lords hands, there is nothing I can do to fix any of the problems that I've been dwelling on. Honestly, I've been working so hard on not worrying, as that is not good. That's when I began to realize that I needed to let go of it, trust Jesus to take care of it all. Besides, as hubby stated, it's His plans for us, we have no control over what happens, we must be patient and trust in Him. Hallelujah! Thank you Lord for saving my hubby and making him such a strong man in you!"

So today right after worship we were praying. I felt His presence so strong. Pastor Tracy told us to pray out for what we needed and to say I believe, I believe, I believe, I trust You, and so I did. I prayed for my sister and He showed me He was laying His hands on her and was healing her. It was such a beautiful feeling. I'm believing. Praise the Lord.

Then Pastor Connie began to speak. She started with Malachi 4:5 "Look, I am going to sen you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome Day of the Lord comes. 6 And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise, I will come and strike the land with a curse."

Well at first she was stumbling a little bit giving us the wrong scripture, but that was okay. We new we were in for a good message. Low and behold, just as she finished this scripture, her husband, Pastor Ken walked in, and she asked Him to come up and greet us. He did and then told us of a friend of theirs visiting and then asked if she would like to have Him speak. She said yes, and Pastor Ken proceeded to tell us what an awesome evangelist Pastor Bob Weiner was. We were all excited to hear this man speak.

Oh my word, you would not believe it! He was awesome. The man had us all squirming and shouting and just beaming. He spoke of two of his daughters. The one I can not remember the name of, but she was 11 when she was suppose to go to a camp on a campus. A woman there who was not a Christian had the camp stopped. (I know I'm not getting all the details correct here, but it's close), but anyway, his daughter went and spoke to the woman and told her she was going to pray for her and she would find salvation and come to the Lord, etc.

That night his daughter while sleeping saw this woman burning in Hell. She woke up crying and cried for 3 hours for this woman. Then the Holy Spirit visited her and told her that because of her tears, the woman would be saved. The next day, the woman went to a priest, told him what his daughter had told her and how she felt she needed to be saved!!! She gave her life to Christ that day!!! Hallelujah, praise the Lord.

His other daughter at about age 6 was at a function or something when he saw a young boy in a wheel chair and asked the mother how long it's been since her son walked. She told the girl that he's never walked. Angeline, the daughter, tells the woman, "My daddy can make him walk!" She went to find him or a pastor. She couldn't find any of them. So she went back and said, "I'll pray for him as I have the same Holy Ghost in me as my dad does. So I will pry for him." She proceed to pick the boy up out of the chair where he began to receive strength and stood as she was praying over him. The little boy that night ran across the stage!!!

Pastor Bob told us that nothing is impossible with God. I'm believing. As He spoke, you could fee His presence in that sanctuary. I so love being in His presence. When he finished talking, He then went around and blessed everyone of us with the placing of his hand on us. It was such an awesome experience. By then it was time to end our group. Each of our tables had what was called a table mom. She was to lead us in questions and discussion and prayer. It was such a neat time.

Our small group leader was telling us that Pastor Connie does not like to teach, it's not her calling, but when she was told to do this, and received it from the Lord. He placed it on her heart that all groups were to stop meeting for now and we were all to be brought to the one class led by her. Thank heavens she's obedient to the Lord. I know He is going to lead her to lead us. We have much more to look forward to. I can't wait! I wish everyone could get a chance to listen to Pastor Bob Weiner. He's an amazing man of the Lord! I am going to do a new post with the message he gave us, since this turned out so long. (blushing).

Titus 2:3

As I had mentioned in an earlier blog, our Pastor's wife, Pastor Connie spoke on Titus 2:3 at our Ladies Night Out. I was hoping her message would have been posted on CCC's video files but it hasn't been. So, I will give you here talking points. The message was so good.

The scriptures she used were: Titus 2:3-5; Deuteronomy 6:7; Genesis 3:15; Psalm 71:18; and Psalm 89:1.

She talked about our seed-The hope of our Nation. What we sow is what we reap. It's important to plant those seeds to help our Nation grow and become healthy.

The the talking points were on Strategies for the Preservation of this generation of Hope.

Here are the strategies that we should be implementing:

1. Intercede and battle for our children and the children and youth of this generation by using your spiritual weapons of warfare.
2. Preserve the prophetic words spoken for each of your children and what you are hearing God saying for this younger generation.
3. Reproduce yourself.
4. Grow in your awareness of national problems facing this generation.

Promote Christian Education
Think the Way your generational eternal God thinks.
Become "midwives" for your nation.
Do not honor your own children above God.
Show off God's faithfulness to this generation.
Strategize on behalf of your children.

Like I said, I wish you could hear the message. It was very good, and would make more sense in what this is saying, but I'm hoping you can get the jest of it, and what we should be doing.

Dream

This past weekend, Pastor Ken from CCC talked about the meaning of DREAM in his forward series. Make sure to listen to the first segment as well and then come back each week to watch/listen, or just listen to his messages in this series. It is so good. God's Promises: Wednesday

Children; Children's Duties; Marriage; Parents Duties; Money; Lust; Jealousy; Sexual Sins; Gossip; and Laziness. Taken from the CBS version.

Children: Isaiah 54:13: "Then all your children will be taught by the Lord, their prosperity will be great."
Get them in church, in classes of the church, whatever is available for them. Teach them young. Get the Lord in their hearts now, so they grow up in a Christ filled environment. This will make their lives so much richer and fuller as they mature.

Children's Duties: Deuteronomy 27:16: "Cursed is the one who dishonors his father or mother. And all the people will say, 'Amen!"
Teach them now that they need to show respect. Just today while picking up my grandsons at their school, so many kids shoved me around, no excuse me, no holding the door, rather almost knocking me over. I was shocked at how many showed that kind of behavior. Sad. We need to teach the younger generations. It is up to us.
Also, it doesn't hurt to give them small duties and work up to harder tasks as they get older. This will instill good work ethics in them. Show your gratitude as well when they do well. Be builders!

Marriage: Proverbs 5:18-20: "Let your fountain be blessed, and take pleasure in the wife of your youth. 19 A loving doe, a graceful fawn--let her breast always satisfy you; be lost in her love forever. 20 Why, my son, would you be infatuated with a forbidden woman or embrace the breast of a stranger?"
Pretty self explanatory. You can't have your cake and eat it too!

Parent's Duties: Deuteronomy 11:19: "Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."
This is so good. What we present to our children is the molding of what they will become when they mature. Teach them when they are young, talking to them, setting good examples. Show them now, or be regretful when they are older.

Money: James 2:5: "Listen my dear brothers: Didn't God choose the poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that He has promised to those who love Him?"
So what is all the hype about money? I had it put to me in a meaningful way; money is not the root of all evil, it's how the people use that money that is evil. Really made me think, and it makes great sense. Spend wisely, save wisely, give freely!

Lust: Matthew 5:27-28: "You have heard that it was said, Do not commit adultery. 28 But I tell you, everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
This is probably one of the hardest ones to not commit for many. As it is human nature to look and like what they see. But...when ones lusts, (wants, or dreams of) this is not healthy. For many it's a hard habit to break, but is necessary.

Jealousy: James 4:5: "Or do you think it's without reason the Scripture says that the Spirit He has caused to live in us yearns jealousy?"
Rearing that green head of jealousy just makes matters worse. The person feeling the jealousy, ends up hurting even more. There is no point to it. We were all created equally and need to get off our high horses, quit looking down our noses at others and be accepting and loving of others. It's not that hard to do!

Sexual Sins: 1 Corinthians 7:1: "About the things you wrote: 'It is good for a man not to have relations with a woman."
Meaning a woman other than his wife. This keeps the man pure.

Gossip: Proverbs 20:19: "The one who reveals secrets is a constant gossip; avoid someone with a big mouth."
Gossip no matter how we look at it is hurtful, spiteful, and wrong. Tame the tongue!

Laziness: Proverbs 28:19: "The one who works his land will have plenty of food, but whoever chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty."
In other words, just do the job, do it to the best of your ability. Don't be a slacker. The sluggard is the one who pays the price.

God's Promises: Tuesday

Shame; Lying; Slander & Reproach; Anger; Guilt; Enemies; Prisoners; Loneliness; Worry & Pride. Taken from the CBS Version.

Shame: Romans 5:5: "This hope does not disappoint, because God 's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us."
We should not feel shameful for those who believe, as the Lord is all gracious, loving and forgiving.

Lying: Proverbs 25:18: "A man giving false testimony against his neighbor is like a club, a sword, or a sharp arrow."
In other words, your lies can hurt. The old cliche' "stabbing one in the back" is about what it feels like when your bear falsities towards your neighbor. So keep an honest tongue.

Slander & Reproach: Psalm 57:3: "He reaches down from Heaven and saves me, challenging the one who tramples me. God sends His faithful love and truth."
Yes he does! Hallelujah! I can testify to this one. I've seen His hand reach down literally and save me. Thank you Father!

Anger: Psalm 30:5: "For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor, a lifetime. Weeping may spend the night, but there is joy in the morning."
God is always there to heal, to love, and to protect.

Guilt: 2 Chronicles 30:9: "For when you return to the Lord, your brothers and your sons [will receive] mercy in the presence of their captors and will return to this land. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful; He will not turn [His] face away from you if you return to Him."
Amen! Thank you Lord! Do not turn away from Him, lest you want to grieve for eternity, and you want the next generations to suffer as well.

Enemies: Deuteronomy 28:7: "The Lord will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you. They will march out against you from one direction but flee from you in seven directions."
Isn't this great? He will take care of us no matter what!

Prisoners: Psalm 69:33: "For the Lord listens to the needy and does not despise His own who are prisoners."
He truly is an all loving God.

Loneliness: Isaiah 43:4: "Because you are precious in My sight and honored, and I love you, I will give human beings in your place, and peoples in place of your life."
We will never be alone with Him!

Worry: Philippians 4:19: "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
We are provided for as long as we believe in and follow Jesus.

Pride: Proverbs 26:12: "Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him."
It is not good for one to fluff his feathers and look down on others. For we were all created equally. We all have a reason. Where some lack in one area from others, they will pick up where the others lack. When we come as one, we accomplish so much more!

Asperger's Syndrome

For some time I new the younger step grandson had some type of mental disability. I kept talking to my daughter about talking her fiance (PW) into getting his son checked out. PW kept saying that it was up to his mother, as she was the one with the custodial rights. I won't get into all that. Any way, I noticed that CW was getting worse. He was having more and more problems. It's frustrating being a grand parent that loves and cares about kids watch this happen.

Thankfully his mother realized she needed to get him some help. He saw a specialist today and they found out that he has Asperger's syndrome. It's a combination of Autism and ADHD. You can go here and read about it. The doctor is having a specialist come in and have him tested for genetic disorders as well. So I'm asking for pray for this poor little guy who is struggling through life, not able to comprehend much of anything. Had been held back in kindergarten, and I have a feeling the same is going to happen in 1st grade this year, as he has gotten to where he won't do his homework.

Please pray that the Lord will guide his parents to do the right things, to get him the help he needs so he can lead a half way decent life. That they will get their lives together so he can as well. It really is an ugly situation. He loves the Lord sooo much. It's a blessing. His birth parents do not believe. So this creates problems as well. I pray they come to terms and accept Christ and help their son. I pray that they become mature adults and realize what is happening in this childs life. He needs stability.

Also, if there is anyone out there that can lead me to people, or you are a person I can talk to that has knowledge of this syndrome, would you get in touch, as I would like to learn what I can be doing to help him along. He's a good kid when he's not having serious problems. He's a very loving young man. It's heart breaking to see this happening to him. Thank you and God Bless.
You can reach me at tejrej@gmail.com Thank you!

Perfect Timing

Melanie has an awesome post on time at her blog. I so needed this one. I've been having such a struggle with time lately. I've never been a real organized person, only during certian times. I've been working on this very thing, and then wallah! Melanie offers a perfect piece on the very subject. Very touching I must say. Thank you Melanie. God's timing is always perfect. Thank you Father for answering my prayers! What an awesome Daddy we have.

Pay it Forward

I just visited Shorty Bears blog. She has such a beautiful blog. She is passing on the love to other bloggers after visiting Beth's at her Warm Harte blog. Here's how it works. Let's share the love everyone. This is a great way to bless others with a surprise in their mail--using your time, energy and love.
Here are the rules as posted on her blog:
The first 3 bloggers to leave a comment on this post will receive a hand-made item from me. Those 3 bloggers promise to post this challenge on their blog (meaning they too will ‘pay-it-forward’, creating a handmade gift for the first 3 bloggers that leave a comment on their blog!!) That's a lot of hand-made love being passed around! ; )
The gift can be any price range--though I'm thinking that keeping it small will be sufficient--and you have 365 days to make/ship your gift!! So, the person receiving this will be definitely surprised when a surprise shows up unexpectedly in their mailbox!
As you can see, if everyone cooperates and "pays it forward" this spreading of love could go on for a very long time.
If you want to participate, just leave a comment telling me so and then repost this on your blog so that you can pay it forward to 3 others, and so on, and so on, and so on.......You can still leave a comment on what you think about this even if you don't want to participate!!
I'm excited to see who the first three will be who want to take part in this fun adventure of spreading our love for another!

Comments Section Changed

To any of you who may have gone to my new blog and tried to comment and couldn't, I apologize. This was an oversight on my part. I have fixed all that needed to be done and you should be able to leave comments using word verification. Thank you for your love and support.

God's Promises: Monday

Belief; Faith; Mercy; Worship; Prayer; Guidance; Fruitfulness; Holy Spirit; Salvation; and Peace. CBS Version.

Belief: Romans 9:33: "As it is written: Look! I am putting a stone in Zion to stumble over, and a rock to trip over, yet the one who believes on Him will not be put to shame."

Faith: James 1:5-6: "Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be give to him. 6 But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind."

The ones who do not believe are given plenty to deal with. This is the Lords way of trying to shake them up and bring them to Him. But if they do not heed, they will receive more and more disruption in their lives. This comes from experience in my own life.

Mercy: Psalm 103:13: "As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him."

He is a compassionate Father without a doubt. He has such great love for us all.

Worship: Psalm 99:9: "Exalt in the Lord our God; bow in worship at His holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy."

He is Holy, He is Holy, He is Holy, our God!

Prayer: Isaiah 30:19: "For you people will live on Zion in Jerusalem and will never cry again. He will show favor to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears, He will answer you."

Yes, the Lord answers our prayers faithfully. Maybe not in the way we want, but He does answer them. We just need to be patient and wait on Him, as it's by His timing.

Guidance: Proverbs 16:9: "A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord determines his steps."

This is true. Without the Lord's guidance, we set ourselves up for stumbling often. We can't go it alone. With the Lord, life is much, much better. Without Him, there is much, much sadness and frustration.

Fruitfulness: Jeremiah 31:12: "They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion; they will be radiant with joy because of the Lord's goodness, because of the grain, the new wine, the fresh oil, and because of the young of the flocks and herds. Their life will be like an irrigated garden, and they will no longer grow weak [from hunger].

Isn't this great!

Holy Spirit: John 7:38-39: "The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.' 39 He said this about the Spirit, whom those who do believe in Him were going to receive, for the Spirit had not yet been received, because Jesus had not yet been glorified."

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is a beautiful thing when we listen to Him.

Salvation: 2 Corinthians 5:21: "He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

What a sacrifice God and Jesus made. All to save us from our sins. If that isn't a profession of love, I don't know what is. This morning, I was woken at 3, and finally gave in and got up at 3:30 am. I was sitting praying by my computer after I turned it on. The screensaver came up and He spoke and said, "look at your screen." There was Jesus in the clouds with His arms outstretched and it said, "How much do I love you? And He spread His arms and died on the cross for us." Hmmm, that is a lot of love.

Peace: Psalm 85:8: "I will listen to what God will say; surely the Lord will declare peace to His people, His godly ones, and not let them go back to foolish ways."

When we follow the Lord, we do not have to worry about being foolish. When we let ourselves slip away from Him, we set ourselves up for embarrassment.

God's Promises: Sunday

God's Correction; God's Faithfulness; Forgiveness; God's Love; Loving God; God's Protection; Word of God; Grow in Grace; Eternal Life; and Seeking God. (CBS Version)

God's Correction: Deuteronomy 8:5-6: "Keep in mind that the Lord your God has been disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son. 6 So keep the commands of the Lord your God by walking in His ways and fearing Him."

Pretty simple, don't you think?

God's Faithfulness: Deuteronomy 4:31: "He will not leave you, destroy you, or forget the covenant with your fathers that He swore to them by oath, because the Lord your God is a compassionate God."

Amen, yes He is!

Forgiveness: Mark 11: 25-26: "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you your wrongdoing. 26 But if you don't forgive, neither will your Father in heaven for your wrongdoing."

Self explanatory.

God's Love: Deuteronomy 7:13: "He will love you, bless you, and multiply you. He will bless your descendants, and the produce of your soil--your grain, new wind, and oil--the young of your herds, and the newborn of your flocks, in the land He swore to your fathers that He would give you."

Isn't it great the promises he makes us?

Loving God: Proverbs 8:17: "I love those who love me, and those who search for me find me."

Thank the Lord for this.

God's Protection: Psalm 34:7: "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them."

Praise the Lord!

Word of God: Revelation 1:3: "Blessed is the one who reads and blessed are those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep what is written in it, because the time is near!

Reading the Bible, going to church and hearing the word spoken, listening to programs, what ever it takes, get in the word daily.

Growth in Grace: Philippians 1:9: "And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment."

Same as above.

Eternal Life: John 11:25-26: "Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me, even if he dies, will live. 26 Everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die--ever. Do you believe this?"

Yes I do! Thank you Jesus!

Seeking God: Hosea 10:12: "Sow righteousness for yourselves and reap faithful love; break up your untilled ground. It is time to seek the Lord until He comes and sends righteousness on you like the rain."

Amen!

God's Promises: Saturday

I'm a bit behind here. Busy weekend. Whew! But it's all been good. Planting and watering that seed. ;) Tonight I attended a Ladies night out at our church. Pastor Connie, our Pastors wife spoke on Titus 2. It was sooooo good. I'll blog about all that in a separate post though. Any way, will try to get this weekends promises caught up at least.

Charity; Hospitality; Brotherly Love; Poverty; Self Denial; Humility; Work; Help in Troubles; Righteousness; and Repentance.

Charity: Luke 14: 13-14: "And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."
This is such a beautiful verse. We shouldn't expect to be repaid. The Lord has us covered. What more could one ask for. A heart to give is a beautiful thing!

Hospitality: James 2:15-16: "If a brother or sister is without clothes and lacks daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,' but you don't give them what the body needs, what good is it?"

How can a person turn someone away like that anyhow? One way to think about it is we all could be in that position some day. We never know for sure what is going to happen. The Lord is the only one that does. Would you want people to just walk by you and say, sorry, but I'm not going to help you?

Brotherly Love: Romans 12:9-10: "Love must be without hypocrisy. Detest evil; cling to what is good. 10 Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor."

Okay, I know this has nothing to do with the meaning, but it hit me how one teeny little word misspelled can change the whole meaning of a subject. When typing the verse I had mistakenly typed "Outdo one another is showing honor." And I thought what??? Then I reread the Bible and realized what it said, "in showing." Big difference. I believe I will be more careful when typing from now on. Had that not have been caught, it would have sent the wrong meaning. Whew! Thank you Jesus for pointing that out!

What a beautiful verse too. Yes, negative creates more negative and makes life...blah, miserable. But create a positive atmosphere it catches on and what a great life! Be kind, show love to one another, don't turn your noses up at others, don't judge a person by their outer looks, look for their inner beauty. Honor one another. We're all brother's and sister's after all. Would you treat your birth family that way? Why treat your God family that way?

Poverty: Psalm 107:41: "But He lifts the needy out of their suffering and makes their families [multiply] like flocks."

Isn't He faithful and wonderful? We never need to worry. He will always be there to find a way. God is good! When times get rough, remember, He gives us our trials and tribulations for a reason, to wake us up to something and draw us closer to Him. If you look back, I'll bet you will remember some not so good times and then think about what brought you out of it and you will realize how life changed, you prayed and he saved!

Self Denial: Romans 8:12-13: "Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer. 13 Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality."

This is one I so needed. What a powerful verse.

Humility: Psalm 10:17: "Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their hearts. You will listen carefully."

Yes Lord, we long to humble ourselves before you.

Work: Deuteronomy 28:12: "The Lord will open for you His abundant storehouse, the sky, to give your land rain in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but you will not borrow."

Being of the flesh, one would think this is terrible, but those in the way of the Lord knows this is good.

Help in Troubles: Psalm 146:8: "The Lord opens the eyes of] the blind. The Lord raises up those who are oppressed. The Lord loves the righteous."
Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! Amen!

Righteousness: Psalm 34:10: "Young lions lack food and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing."

Thank you Father, you are so good to us. We are not worthy of you. You are an awesome God!

Repentance: Mark 6:12: "So they went out and preached that people should repent."

Repenting of ones sins and being genuine about it is such a relief. It's a way of coming closer to Him. It's pertinent to forgive yourself and repent of your sins, mean it, as it is the only way to come closer to Him.
Okay, I know some of this was a bit wordy, but so much was racing through my mind. I have so much I want to share, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. I am so tired right now, I keep falling asleep. So I'll post Sundays and Monday's promises tomorrow. Good night or morning, "God bless."

Just Saying

I just want to let you know a little bit more about me. I don't want to give the wrong impression of who I am with my writings. I pray I'm not coming across as being this self righteous person who thinks I'm almost perfect. This couldn't be further from the truth.

My writings are guided by what is given me, what I've learned, from readings I try to share, etc. I love sharing lessons learned, words that come to me, when the Lord floods me with things He wants me to share.

I sin despite how hard I try not to. I've committed some serious sins. One that I have a hard time letting go of. I've repented and asked for forgiveness more than once. I've finally been freed of the deep, deep, unforgiving I had towards myself. Don't worry, it's nothing that harmed another. Well, it could have if another had found out our secret, mentally.

Anyway, many of my writings are to help myself learn as well. I'm still a baby in all this, with the strong desire to become as close to our Father as much as humanly possible. I want to become like Christ as much as possible. To help others that have the same desire to do the same.

Despite my serious shyness which I'm slowly overcoming, I have a heart for people. I love people and have a desire to help wherever I can and sometimes due to that desire come across as a snob. Which means I try too hard sometimes. (blushing).

I really enjoy taking this walk together with all of you. I've met so many terrific people here. You've all taught me a lot in one way or another. It's a growing and learning process. Unfortunately I don't have a good writing ability, which is sad, as I've had a strong desire to write books, but have found that isn't in the writings for me. He's made that quite clear. ;) Darnit.

I had two books planned that have been on my heart for sometime. Who knows, perhaps someday it will happen, but not at this point. One was on how to live with a bi-polar and/or shizophrenic and survive. The other was on Learning to be Kind to One Another. I was going to take all the things in everday life I see happen and hear others complain about and write it in a fashion that may change the way of thinking with some in order to form a friendlier society. What was I thinking. Ha ha LOL!

So there you have it. I'm just another normal human being (what ever normal is ;) ) well I guess you couldn't say normal for me, just ask my family. Ha Ha. Trying to learn, survive, and make it to Heaven. Trying to be a good wife, sister, daughter, grandma, and friend. Like all of us, we are being transformed, while the Lord takes us and whittles away the mars, buffs out the rough edges, molds us to what He wants us to be, and polishes us up! Boy do I need some work. :) But that's okay. I say, "Father, I'm yours, take me, do as you need, I want You, I need You, for I can not do it alone, which You have taught me." I'm still a work in progress and will be until the end of my time here on earth. So please be patient with me and bear with me.

We all are an important part in each ones lives. I believe we've all met for a reason. Love to you all my dear sweet friends.

Prayer Request

I'm asking for prayers for my little sister Sarah. She is the one that just won custody of her grand daughters. She's been dealing with FMS for years along with back and neck problems. She just got laid off work for a week which she can not afford to do after paying all the lawyer fees for one. She needs an MRI done but can't afford it, which we are working on. Thankfully talked her into getting it done. Her lower back gave out on her while at work just bending over to pick something up. She's been seeing a chiropractor and he is really confused with what is going on with her along with the doctors. Hopefully the MRI will show something and she can be taken care of.

Pray for quick healing, a doctor that can figure it out and help her, answers to what is going on. She is having other health issues as well. Those little girls need her. She is so good with them. The residents at the nursing home all love her too and need her there. She is such a good woman in the Lord. She has the one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. She's always giving of herself and putting herself last.

Also pray for her two older boys who are adults. They've gone astray. They were such good boys. One is bi-polar and is not on his medication. The other I'm not sure what the mental illness is called, but also is not on his medication. They had to take it off of him as it was causing his heart to race. He never did get on anything else. So they both are not thinking right and headed for trouble. They both need jobs with medical benefits so they can get themselves taken care of.

The poor woman has enough to deal with without having to go through all the worry. Her youngest boy is a sweetheart and usually very helpful, but hormones have kicked in and he's being a stinker right now, but have high hopes for him.

Anyway, thank you for your prayers. I know the Good Lord will take care of her. The power in numbers makes a huge difference. I know she will be eternally greatful to all of you. God Bless and have a wonderful weekend.

Prayer Thanks II

Thank you all for your prayers. The girl I asked you to pray for went to an endochronologist today and found out it's IBM! Whew, as that is treatable. They are trying different things with her. The last medication she was put on is starting to help. She's back to school and feeling much better. The power of prayer. Thank you Dear Heavenly Father. What a great loving Daddy You are. May God pour His blessings over each of you for having loving, caring hearts. Amen!

God's Promises: Friday

Freedom from Sin; Self Righteousness; Comfort; Contentment; Food & Clothing; Death, Success; Long Life; Trust; and Redemption of Sin. CBS (Christian Standard Bible).

A quick note first: For those who are wondering, P.U.S.H. stands for Pray Until Something Happens. This comes from hon at God is Our Love. Thank you hon for sharing. It's a good reminder.

Freedom from Sin: Acts 10:43: "All the prophets testify about Him that through His name everyone who believes in Him will receive forgiveness of sins."
How awesome is that!

Self Righteousness: Proverbs 12:15: "A fool's way is right in his own eyes, but whoever listens to counsel is wise."
Need anything more be said?

Comfort: Psalm 138: 7 "If I walk in the thick of danger, You will preserve my life from the anger of my enemies. You will extend Your hand; Your right hand will save me."
Oh how true this is. I can testify to that fact. I've had the His hand reach down and save me. Thank You Lord!

Contentment: Hebrews 13:5: "Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, 'I will never leave you or forsake you."

Food & Clothing: Palm 147:14: "He endows your territory with prosperity; He satisfies you with the finest wheat."
He will always provide for His people.

Death: 1 Corinthians 15:55: "O Death, where is your victory? O Death where is your sting?"
Death is not something to fear, for when we die, if we are followers of Him, we will be going to a much better place.

Success: Deuteronomy 30:9: "The Lord your God will make you prosper abundantly in all the work of your hands with children, the offspring of your livestock, and your soil's produce. Indeed the Lord will again delight in your prosperity, as He delighted in that of your fathers."
Is He an Awesome God or what?

Long Life: Job 12:12-13: "Wisdom is found with the elderly, and understanding comes with long life. 13 Wisdom and strength belong to God; counsel and understanding are His."
Follow and have a long life.

Trust: Psalm 84:11-12: "For the Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord gives grace and glory; He does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity. 12 Lord of Hosts, happy is the person who trusts in You!"
Hallelujah and Amen!

Redemption of Sin: Acts: 13:38: "Therefore, let it be know to you, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you."
Thank You Lord!!!

Have a great weekend everyone and May God Pour His Blessings Upon You All!

New Blog

Just to let you all know, I've started a new blog. It's about parents-kids-living with mental illnesses. It's a discussion blog for anyone that lives with someone with a mental illness as a support system and question answer type thing so that people have a place to go and talk and ask, and hopefully find answers.

This has been a subject very close and dear to my heart. So if you know of anyone that may possibly benefit from this, feel free to pass the link on to them. Thank you.

Oh and thank you Heather once again for a perfect blog skin. Your back grounds are so helpful.

The Lemonade Award

I have received the Lemonade Award from Deare Diary. I have to admit, at first I was confused. She left a nice comment after telling me about the award. I thought, "okay, this is interesting. Are my posts interesting but sour?" Hee hee. She had the same thought when she received the award. But, it is a nice award showing your blog is enjoyed. Thank you so much for the award. This is very sweet. So now I must list at least 10 blogs. Here are the rules:
1. Place the logo in a post
2. Nominate at least 10 blogs which you think show great Attitude and/or Gratitude.
3. Be sure to link the nominees with in your post.
4. Let them know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog.
5. Nominate your favorites and link to this post.
First off Deare Diary, I would be nominating you if you had not already nominated me. You show both on your blog. Grace, if you had already been nominated you would have been another. Smile Jesus Loves You would have been another choice. Now without further ado, here are my 10, if I can keep it down to that. Ha ha ;) You all know me now. It's just that there are sooo many great bloggers it's hard to decide. So if you are not nominated don't feel bad, please know that I love you all!
1. Meggie at Meggiesstuff as she definitely shows both. I love her sense of humor and warmth at the same time. Thanks for always putting a smile on my face Meggy!
2. Valerie Lynn at Simply4God as she is definintely grateful for our Lord.
3. Heather at SimplyHeather as she shows both as well. She has a wonderful sense of humor, shows attitude ;) and is definitely grateful for the Lord our God.
4. Sherri at BeAboutYourFather'sBlessings shows both attitude and gratitude!
5. Beth at C.BethBlog (musings of a happy mommy), shows both attitude and gratitude!
6. Kim at HomesteadersHeart has lots of laughs and gratitude to share.
7. hon at GodisOurLove shows great gratitude for the Lord with a happy attitude.
8. The Girls at 3BayBChicks shows lots of attitude, so fun!
9. Leigh at the PerfectWalk has lots of gratitude.
10. Chris at SimplyPut has three blogs all of which show attitude and/or gratitude.
11. I can't leave out Sue at SusieQ's as if there is anyone with great attitude, it would be her. She has a great way of putting life into anything!
Okay, this was hard. There are so many more I want to add, but will leave them open for others to add. But as I stated earlier, I love you all. That's why you are all listed. God Bless and thank you for keeping life interesting, bringing sunshine and laughter into life, and best of all, glorifying the Lord! Hugs

Prayer Requests and Prayer Thanks

First off, I would like to ask you all to please pray for a friends daughter who has been having stomach problems for over 3 weeks now. She's been to the doctor four times already and with no results. She's missed 2 weeks of school already, probably more by now. She is an A/B student and a cheerleader. She is also a young lady learning the ways of the Lord. She volunteers often at the church.

She's been naseous, week, lethargic, just unable to do anything with chronic pain. Please pray for God's intervention to bind and remove the enemy from here to loose the healing onto her and to heal quickly so she can return to her academics. That the right doctor is sent her way to figure out what is happening with her and take care of the problem. Thank you.

Also, a friend of mine who I met through our small group meetings is encircled in darkness right now. She has been dealing with mental illnesses for some time, suffers from seasonal disorder--which it has been cloudy for days on end here--and has problems with demon voices attacking her thoughts. Lately, she has let the enemy take control of her and has her believing that no one cares about her. Please pray for the Lords intervention here that she is able to hear his voice again, and lean on Him for guidance and strength. Bind the enemy and remove it from her now. Loose the angels of heaven to guard her and keep the enemy away from her.

A thank you goes out to all of you for your supportive prayers. Praise the Lord, my sister gained full custody of her grand children. It is by the Lord's blessings and desire for this to happen. It is a huge relief as now the children will receive the love and care they so deserve. Thank you Lord, and thank you all for your dedicated prayers. The power of prayer is amazing.

May God Bless You All Always and Always P.U.S.H.

Two Mom's 20 lbs.

Well, this week didn't go so well. I started out on the right foot, but ended up doing poorly. I can tell you some things that shouldn't be done. Don't give into temptation. It does one absolutely no good. Then there is the guilt factor afterwards to deal with. Make sure you have plenty of healthy foods around to eat. When you don't keep your home stocked properly, then it is easy to fall off the band wagon.

Having company does not give you permission to stuff yourself. Try to stick with your normal eating habits. My parents came to visit, so I was determined to make them a healthy meal, as they are suppose to be very careful with what they eat. Well, after not eating much for a few days before hand, I pigged out. Needless to say, my body was hating me, and I was not liking myself too well. It's no fun, it feels miserable, and it does absolutely no good.

But with that said, do not beat yourself up and get all depressed over it. Instead, get back on track and keep on going. Move forward! So we let ourselves take a step back once in awhile. As long as we don't keep letting it happen, we are okay. The important thing is to correct that back slide and put your next foot forward and then the next one and so on.

So water in take has still been good. Only had a couple of diet soda's, which is very good for me after drinking a minimum of two every day. Food was not so good, but am back on track!!! Exercise, been getting plenty of that, believe me.

Plan to get back to doing what my original plan of attack was and hopefully lose some more. This week, stayed the same, maybe even gained a little. :( But that's okay. It's not the end of the world. Have to keep a positive attitude in order to succeed.

Hope all the rest of you are having great success!

Unable to Blog

To all the wonderful people that have come into my life and read my blog, I am ever so grateful to you. I apologize for not having blogged for a few days. It's been silly crazy here the past few days. After having almost two weeks off from caring for the grand kids, I had a time of it getting back into the saddle so to speak. ;)

I had also been spending time on finding a way to go to Salmon and still have the grand kids taken care of. I needed to go care for my sisters two grand kids so she could make it to court to try to get custody of the girls. Understandably, she did not want the two little ones in the court room for one, plus they had to get up at 3 am to get on the road to make it in time.

Needless to say, I was not meant to make the trip. We had the children until almost 4 pm which is when I wanted to leave. We didn't get on the road until 5:30. By the time we reached the mountains up from Mountain Home, the fog had settled in pretty thick. It got to the point where I could barely see where I was going. So we turned around and headed to Gooding and tried going up that way. We made it a ways past there then hit even heavier fog. So we turned around and headed home. Needless to say, the total time of the drive was the time it takes to get there which was 5 hours. After chasing kids all day and then driving that far, I was wore out. The next day I had the kids and was out of it. By the time they went home, I was ready for bed.

So here I am, finally able to get some posts in at least. I'm going to attempt to read others tonight and do the rest tomorrow. I am sorry for not keeping up with your blogs. I love reading them all and have sincerely missed it. Hope everyone is doing well. God Bless You All!

God's Promises: Thursday

Joy; Meekness; Patience; Honesty; Wisdom; Sickness; Obedience; Courage; Fear; and Hope. (NKJV)

Joy: Psalm 89:15-16: "Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O Lord, in the light of your countenance. 16 In Your name they rejoice all day long, and in Your righteousness they are exalted."

Meekness: Isaiah 11:4: "But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked."

Patience: 1 Peter 2:20: "For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God."
One must be patient upon the Lord, for it is by His time, by His wishes. He doesn't always answer our prayers right away. When hurting, it is often for a reason, to draw us nearer to the Lord. Sometimes it seems like eternity, but we must remember, He will never give us more than we can handle.

Honesty: Micah 6:10-12: "Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the short measure that is an abomination? 11 Shall I count pure those with the wicked scales, and with the bag of deceitful weights? 12 For her rich men are full of violence, her inhabitants have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth."
Be honest at all times. The old adage, "Honesty is the best policy," is so true. The Lord loves an honest heart. Where do lies get you? Absolutely nowhere!

Wisdom: Isaiah 2:3: "Many people shall come and say, 'Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.' For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem."
Is is wise to seek the path of the Lord; the law of the Lord. For then shall we gain wisdom.

Sickness: Matthew 9:28-30: "And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this? They said to Him, "Yes, Lord." 29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, 'according to your faith let it be to you.' 30 And their eyes were opened, and Jesus sternly warned them, saying, 'See that no one knows it."
He can heal all that honestly believe in the Lord. There may be times that we are not healed. It is all up to God what He has planned for us.

Obedience: Deuteronomy 6:18: "And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord, that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land of which the Lord swore to your fathers."
We have a lot to be thankful for, and one of those is what we receive at the end of our lives on earth when we have been obedient to the Lord.

Courage: Psalm 37:28: "For the Lord loves justice, and does not forsake His saints; they are preserved forever, but the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off."

Fear: Luke 12:32: "Do not fear, little flock, for it your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."
We have nothing to fear if we believe and follow His voice, His commands!

Hope: 1 Peter 1:21: "Who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God."
Was it not enough that Jesus suffered, died, and was buried, then brought back to life all for our sins? This should give us the hope that we need to believe and follow.

God's Promises: Wednesday

Children; Children's Duties; Marriage; Parents Duties; Money; Lust; Jealousy; Sexual Sins; Gossip; and Laziness.

Children: Acts 2:39: "For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."
Repenting of sins will free our children from the curse of our sins being handed down to our children to the third generation.

Children's Duties: Colossians 3:20: "Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord."
Self explanatory.

Marriage: Proverbs 5:15: "Drink water from your own cistern, and running water from your own well."
In other words, do not go wandering looking for greener grass. It will only get you into trouble.

Parents Duties: Psalm 78:4-7: "We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done. 5 For He established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children; 6 That the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children, 7 that they may set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments."

Money: Psalm 37:16: "A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked."
Oh so true. Being rich in the Lord is better than having many riches of the world.

Lust: 1 John 2:16-17: "For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever."
We do not have to worry if we live by the way of the Lord, rather than the way of the world. The way of the world is corruption, which will vanish and nothing will be left.

Jealousy: James 3:16: "For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there."
Self explanatory.

Sexual Sins: 1 Corinthians 6:18-20: "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Again, self explanatory.

Gossip: Proverbs 18:8: "The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles, and they go down into the inmost body."
Gossip is soaked in like a sponge. A sponge carries many germs. Just as being filled with gossip poisons the body. Those that use their tongues to spread gossip are sinning. The old adage, "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words shall never harm me," is not true. Words can cut like a knife. Gossip can knock a person down and ruin them quickly. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it! Plain and simple. If you have a qualm with a person, talk to them about it, not to someone else, or take it up with the Father. Once releasing your feelings, ask for forgiveness. Forgive the person you had a problem with as well.

Laziness: Romans 12:11: "Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord."
This is how we are to be. Laziness does not produce anything. Being a sluggard is wasteful.

God's Promises: Tuesday

Shame; Lying; Slander & Reproach; Anger; Guilt; Enemies; Prisoners, Loneliness; Worry; and Pride. From the NKJV.

Shame: Psalm 119:6: "Then I would not be ashamed, when I look inot all Your commandments."
When we follow the commandments of the Lord, we will not have a reason to be ashamed when we see His sweet face.

Lying: Leviticus 19:12: "And you shall not swear by My name falsely, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the Lord."

Slander & Reproach: 1 Peter 4:14: "If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified."
When we are being cursed for being a believer, we are blessed with the Holy Spirit and He is glorified because of it. The person cursing us is cursing the Lord and is sinning. We are glorifiying the Lords name with our belief.

Anger: Nehemiah 9:17: "They refused to obey, and they were not mindful of Your wonders that You did among them. But they hardened their necks, and thier rebellion they appointed a leader to return to their bondage. But You are God, ready to pardon, greacious and merciful, slow to anger, abundant in kindness, and did not forsake them."
What a loving God we have. We can be stubborn, angry, etc. and He still loves us and forgives us when we repent of our sins. Notice how it says, "slow to anger." This is what we should practice/work on to be more Christ like, "slow to anger."

Guilt: Isaiah 55:7: "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him retrun to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundntly pardon."
Again, we must repent, ask for forgiveness. When we do this, we are forgiven (pardoned) by the Lord for all and this enables us to let go of our guilt.

Enemies: Isaiah 62:8: "The Lord has sworn by His right hand and by the arm of His strength; 'Surely I will no longer give your grain as food for your enemies; and the sons of the foreigner shall not drink your new wine, for which you have labored."
He's always looking out for us!

Prisoners: Dueteronomy 30:4: "If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you."
You are never alone no matter what.

Loneliness: Isaiah 58:9: "then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.' If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness."
For if you obey Him, He is always there to pick you back up. You are never alone.

Worry: Psalm 46:1-3: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the seas 3 Though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling."
Isn't it nice to know that there really is no need for worry, as God has it all under control no matter the situation. After all, our lives are already planned out.

Pride: Isaiah 5:21: "Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
So as long as we are careful with what we do, and stay on the path God has given us we will be well kept and nd taken care of.

God's Promises: Monday

Belief; Faith; Mercy; Worship; Prayer; Guidance; Fruitfulness; Holy Spirit; Salvation; Peace. (NKJV)

Belief: Acts 10:43: "All the prophets testify about Him that through His name everyone who believes in Him will receive forgiveness of sins."
What more could one ask for? It's that simple.

Faith: Hebrews 11:6: "But they now aspire to a better land--a heavenly one. Therefore Gos is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them."
The Father has a beautiful home waiting for us. When we believe and follow, we have a lot to look forward to.

Mercy: Exodus: 34: 6-7 : "And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, 'The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, long suffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, 7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children tothe third and the fourth generation."
Jesus showed much mercy to the people. Our Father is a merciful God. We should be thankful for all that they do for us.

Worship: Psalm 95:6-7: "Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. 7 For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand."
We have more strength when we are on our knees!

Prayer: Matthew 21:22: "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
When praying, we must do so in faith if we wish to have our prayers answered. On the same token, we must be patient and remember that it's all on His time and according to His plans for us.

Guidance: Psalm 48:14: "For this is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death."
God will never desert us. He's always there through the good and the bad.

Fruitfulness: Psalm 1:3: "He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper."
When we live in faith, we will be fruitful.

Holy Spirit: John 14:16-17: "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever--17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."
To be filled with the Holy Spirit, to have the helper with us is the most wonderful beautiful experience. We should ask daily to be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to walk in the way of the Lord.

Salvation: 2 Corinthian's 5:17: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
Amen! Letting go of the past is so important in order to hav the closeness with the Lord.

Peace: Colosians 3:15: "And let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hynms and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."
Yes, take in the word, let is fill you, worship Him and listen to the words of the songs, taking in every word sung/spoken. Fill yourself with His teachings.

May the Lord fill you with His blessings and walk with you daily. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

God's Promises: Sunday

Today's subjects will talk about God's Correction; God's Faithfulness; Forgiveness; God's Love; Loving God; God's Protection; Word of God; Grow in Grace; Eternal Life; Seeking God. All from the NKJV.

God's Correction: Proverbs 3:12: "For whom the Lord loves He corrects, just as the father the son in who he delights."

The Lord is just like our earthly fathers, He corrects us when we do wrong. The difference between the Lord and our earthly fathers, is some fathers are not loving, some do not care, some are part time. The Lord is loving, cares, and is full time all the time. He never let's us go unattended. His corrections are gentle and loving, never harsh.

God's Faithfulness: Deuternonomy 7:9: "Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments."

Isn't that a comfort to know. He will never forsake us. He loves us always. He is always there for us!

God's written word is a promise for obeying.

Forgiveness: Matthew 5:44-45: "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless thsoe who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."

We are to model ourselves after Christ, so why is it so hard for some of us to forgive others? Holding onto animosity, anger, discontenment, etc. only causes more grief, allows the enemy in, and puts a block against any chance of keeping a close relationship with the person(s) one is unable to forgive.

God's Love: John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

This is God's promise through Christ for salvation. Ahhh, everlasting life! What a great promise this is.

Loving God: Deuteronomy 7:9: This is the same as God's faithfulness.

God's Protection: Proverbs 18:10: "The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe."

Yes, He does protect us when we let Him. We can draw our strength in Him as well. He is our strong tower, as the enemy can not win if we believe. He is much stronger! Amen!

Word of God: Roman's 1:16: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for teh Greek."

God doesn't care who we are, what color, what creed, sex, nationality, etc.; He loves us all!

Growth in Grace: John 15:8: "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you wll be My disciples."

As we do as the Lord says, we follow and bear much fruit, we become His dicisples. So the more people brought to Him, the better for all!

Eternal Life: John 6:47: "Most assuredly, I say to you , he who believes in Me has everlasting life."

Isn't it amazing; all one has to do is believe in Him and we have eternal life. But...one must follow what the Lord has planned for them. It takes more than just believing. You must live righteously as well.

Seeking God: 2 Chronicles 15: 2: "So he went out to meet Asa and said to him, 'Asa and all Judah and Benjamin, hear me. The LORD is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you abandon Him, He will abandon you."

As long as we believe in Him, and seek Him, He is there for us. Seek and you shall find.
