Seeing Things in a Different Light
I made it to hubs appointment and then went to coffee with him. The mood had changed. Concern came over me for my husband. He seemed to have something troubling him and wouldn't open up, as he does often.
We parted, he headed for work, myself heading to pick up two of the grand kids; one of which is home sick. I was pondering over hubs, wondering what must be going on in his mind, when I all of a sudden focused on worshipping the Lord. On my way home was the usual crazy driving of some, slow from some, excessive speeds by others, and then there is that one that seems to want to join you in your lane. But this time it didn't bother me so much. What was going on?
I look in my review mirror after picking up the kids and see a young girl smiling from ear to ear, blowing a bubble from her gum and talking on the phone. At first I was thinking, great, watch her run into the back of me as she's not paying attention. Then all of a sudden the Lord took hold of me, and I was reminded not to judge.
Then I saw her as a beautiful girl, smiling, happy, childlike the way He wants us to be. I thought you know, we are all different in so many ways, but are all alike as well. We are all sons and daughters of the Lord our God. We all have a special place in this crazy world. Then I really got to looking at people as they drove by.
What did I see? People of all walks of life. Then I thought about how some were obviously not well off financially and some were well off. I thought back to a time when finances were bad. We didn't know if we were going to be able to keep our house, our vehicles needed work done on them, were we going to lose them too? How would we get to work. What about our kids, what would happen to them.
That's when I thought; we have so much to be thankful for. It doesn't matter what we have. It doesn't matter whether or not we are rich or poor. It doesn't matter what we wear. What matters is how we treat one another. What matters is what is in our heart. What matters is do we accept our Father and walk in the manner in which He desires for us to walk? Are we shining His light? Are we kind, gentle, loving, full of grace and mercy, thoughtful, joyfull, living with the Fruit of the Spirit in us?
Gratefulness, Thankfullness and Joy filled my heart. Gone was any worries. Gone was the comtemplations of, we need this or that, the worries about how to handle this mess, what should be said or done about this or that problem. I was reminded to hand all my cares to the Lord and let His light shine through. I had a heart and soul that understood and realized the value He was showing me and placed right in front of my face.
A new energy came about. No more frustration over things not getting done. Gone was the irritation over how busy life has become and how it seemed I needed to drop something of which I was involved in doing, but where and what to choose as I knew that I needed to be in the groups that I am to learn and come closer to Him. I knew that volunteering is where I'm suppose to be. I know the importance of watching the grandkids; then of course the house has to be cleaned...how was I going to do it all. Laughter filled my head. "Silly one, has He not always provided? Has He not always walked you through those difficult times? Has it not been good to get home and feel wonderfully exhausted knowing full well good things came from the day?
A small sacrifice for all that He offers us and gives us each and every day. He "always" provides; even in those times we feel it's not what we wanted. He knows what is best for us, what is "needed" at the right time.
Step back/sit back and really look at your surroundings. Look at those that are around you. See the uniqueness each one of us has to offer. Look at all the beauty He has provided us. What a wonderful world it really is. There may be some darkness in your life, but His light will shine through eventually when the time is right. For it is by His plans and His perfect timing that all comes together for the good of all. Take in a deep breath, smile, let your heart sing joyfully. Know that He is near. Never will He forsake you. Never will He leave you. Blessings to All!

Good Morning!

Good morning!
We can pretend we are sharing a good cup of coffee (or tea, or Diet Coke or Mountain Dew
while enjoying....Good Morning Blessings
If it stops with you, then the blessing will disappear. The blessing will only keep working if it is continuously passedaround. If you are a recipient of a blessing, keep the blessing working by being the source of blessing to other people.
Good Morning !!!!
This morning when I awakened

And saw the sun above,
I softly said, 'Good morning , Lord ,
Bless everyone I love '

Right away I thought of you
And said a loving prayer ,
That He would bless you specially ,
And keep you free from care.
I thought of all the happiness
A day could hold in store,
I wished it all for you because
No one deserves it more .
I felt so warm and good inside,
My heart
was all aglow ..I know God heard my prayers for you ,
He hears them all, you know.

Nine angels are sent to you.

Blessings
Recently hubby's boss decided it was time to retire and sold hubby and the bosses son the business. Hubby is the majority owner as he is the one with the training and knowledge. When his boss sold them the business, he took half of what was in the account and left the rest to them. So it cost them virtually no money for the business.
Business was coming to a stand still at the time, but they already received one blessing and that was a business with money in the account with no out of pocket expenses!
So the two guys took and divided up the money and both gave to their churches. Suddenly they started getting calls for more jobs, they have been smaller ones, but it's been enough to keep the business afloat and them paid. More and more jobs are coming in now. They doubled in one month what they had previously made in three months!!!
Is that the work of the Lord or what? So you see, it is good to give to the Lord. Luke 12:16-21 says:
16 And then He told them this parable: "The ground of a
certain rich man produced a good crop.17 He thought to himself,
'what shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.'18 Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear
down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my
goods.'19 And I will say to myself, 'You have plenty of good
things laid up for many years. Take life easy, eat, drink, and be
merry."20 But God said to him, "You fool! This very night,
your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared
for yourself?"21 "This is how it will be with anyone who stores up
things for himself but is not rich toward God."
The Bible tells us how important it is to share our earnings. When we run into good fortune, we must share. Being obedient to the Lord is so important. Remember, what we sow is what we reap. He has done that with hubby and his partner. Praise God!!!

God's Miraculous Doings!
First off, a shout out to our sister-in-law in San Diego. Congratulations sweet sis! We are so proud of you and happy for you. We pray that your hubby was touched and will soon join you. She was baptized today! Praise the Lord!!!! So many have been giving their lives to the Lord. How awesome is that.
That is what is hoped to be gained through this blog is to help people understand the beauty of the Lord and how gracious He is. Hopefully it will lead people to Him. All that I write about God is to Glorify His name. It's through His leadings that I write. All the recognition goes to Him. I'm just thankful to be able to hear His sweet voice and be able to walk in His way! Thank You Lord!
Now to share something that was very profound to me from the service this morning. Our pastor talked about how we should be thanking God before we even ask for anything. We shouldn't just thank Him after He's answered a prayer, but thank Him for answering our requests before He does answer them.
The reason being; God already knows what we need before we even ask. He's already working on the request before we even speak it. Granted, it may not be answered as fast as we want, but remember, it's by His timing, not ours. We must put our full faith in Him and know that He is in control. He is an all loving God who will care for us. We will have our trials and tribulations, but it's all for pulling us closer in to Him.
There are times when the pain is so intense, or we watch a loved one go through a horrific time and wonder how this can be. We don't know, we don't need to know. We just need to keep the faith and trust in Him. It's hard sometimes. But I've learned lately that it is so much easier than worrying and not keeping in the Faith.
So open your hearts, souls, and arms and welcome Him in. Hold on tight. It's a glorious ride no matter what we go through. Thank You Jesus.
Oh, and one more thing. ;) Hee hee. When I go through tough times and start to question, I stop and think of the great sacrifice God and Jesus made for us, and then it all seems so trivial. Our sacrifices are nothing compared to what they endured. God Bless You All Always and Always P.U.S.H. Remember God Loves You Unconditionally!

Our Christmas Lessons and Blessings
For one, we signed GD #1 into the church Christmas Choir. I know she and her sister were touched. It was a lesson for them both. We also took them to the Christmas Eve service which had an impact on them as well.
Then Christmas presents time. The oldest was upset and said, "This is it?" I told her to wait until she opened them and she would be suprised. I told her it wasn't about how many, but the meaning. Low and behold, the kids were very happy. Gone was the "Is this it attitude!" I could tell our daughter was upset at first as well. Then came the best part.
I had told you a few posts back about hubby going to the letters from dad group and the letter he had written me just because. Well for our anniversary he done the same and put it in a wooden box. I believe I wrote about it as well. I've never been more touched and never appreciated a gift more than those. I love how the Lord is working in Him.
Anyway, for our son and daughter, he had gotten them these boxes and put letters to them in both, along with some family heirlooms we had been holding for them until we felt they were responsible enough to appreciate them. He gave our son his grand dads old pocket watch. J loved it and the letter really touched him. He gave our daughter some bracelets that had belonged to his maternal grandmother. Our daughter bawled. It was so neat to see hubby and her hugging and crying and hugging and crying. She was touched.
I pray now that she is reminded of how great the Lord is and comes back to him. She needs to do this, as her life is a mess and she has been so depressed. Oh please Lord, open her eyes, ears and soul to you. Let her come to you. She needs you, so do the children. In Jesus Holy Name I pray. Amen.
Our son had strayed too until he recieved his box. Praise the Lord, he's back!!!!! God is Good. This was truly the best Christmas yet. It will be a terrific new year if our daughter returns to the Lord as well. I'm believing in healing of her soul. Please take a stand with me in Christs Holy Name. My heart is soaring right now while rehashing the day yesterday. I love the way he works in us. I could not imagine life without him. I only wish we had done this earlier, but...it's by His time, in His way. We had lessons to learn and growing up to do first to fully come to appreciate His love for us.
God Bless you all. I truly hope you all had as blessed of a Christmas as we did. God Loves You and so do I.

Update/Prayer Request
Second, I apologize for not having visited or posted the past few days. I don't know where the time has gone. Christmas isn't even a part of it. Do you ever have those days where you feel like your days are all topsy turvy, upside down, inside out, your mind doesn't function, you don't know where the hours in the day went, and you wonder how you'll ever get to do what you needed/wanted to do? Well, that's the way these past 3 days have been. So I've been asking what His plan is for me? Why, what is going on? Hee hee. Plus I have not been getting much sleep lately, so when I do get on the computer I read my mail and start to fall asleep. (Blushing).
Now for an update: God is Good, God is Faithful. Thank you to all that have kept us in your prayers.
First, my niece gets out of the hospital tomorrow!!!!!! She was diagnosed as severely depressed and ADHD. That explains the reason for her attempting to commit suicide while in the hospital. There are certian medications for depression that can not be given to those with ADHD. Thank heavens they caught that. I'm so relieved to hear she is doing well. I knew she would get there. Her parents have taken a complete turn around and are working on being a family. Praise the Lord!!!!! What a huge relief. We had a great prayer session in our small group over her on Wed. I felt such a rush come over me that I knew all would be well.
Second, my special needs step-grandson is finally going to get some helpt that he has been so badly in need of. His mom has finally excepted the fact that he has problems and is looking into a program for him. What a relief that is. I've been praying like crazy over him. He needs a lot of help. I feel big time for him.
Now if we can just get my daughter back on track and out of her depressive state, and my parents doing well things will be looking up.
Now on a downer, my sister needs prayers that they get full custody of the two little girls they have been fighting for. The mother is completely incompetent. Her son is not ready to take care of kids and needs to be back on his medication. He is bi-polar and ADHD. I finally got to meet the two girls. Oh my gosh they are such cuties. How anyone could neglect them the way they had been is beyond me. Well, how any child can be abused and/or neglected just makes me sick. The little two year old is amazing. The 1 1/2 year old is still so small. She is underweight still but finally gaining now that she is being fed properly.
Mom is determined to get the girls back. She is going to purposely fail her psych eval. Which I would thank if she fails it, she will for sure lose the girls, but her attorney told her that if she fails it, she can say she didn't know what she was doing when she agreed to turn the girls over to my sister and her hubby. This girl does not deserve to have those babies. Both girls had severe diaper rash. The two year old had a yeast infection. The baby had eyes bulging out, from malnutrtion. She was nothing but skin and bones. It turns my stomach at the thought. Children do not deserve that kind of treatment. Mom is mentally disturbed and refuses to get any help.
The baby cries when mom holds her the whole time. The two year old whines and then has a hard time sleeping and acts up whenever she comes around. Otherwise she is a well behaved littel girl. My sister got their bottoms cleared up in no time. The two year old had diaper rash for two years. The baby shortly after they brought her home and had it the whole time until my sister took the girls.
Okay, I'm sure you can tell this is a subject that is very near and dear to my heart. I have no tolerance for child abuse/neglect. It's wrong. I keep hearing, "For God so loved the little children." Why? How can anyone do that to children? Especially helpless innocent little ones. Okay, enough. Anyhow, if you could all add the babies in your prayers, I would so greatly appreciate it. The power of prayer in numbers! Thank You.
If there are a lot of typos in here, I apologize. I try to proof read before posting, but am struggling to stay awake. :( Dern it all. Why do we need sleep? There isn't enough hours in the day, need to carry them on into the night. Hee hee, ha ha. Okay, I know, that's probably why the brain isn't functioning too well huh? I hope to visit you all this weekend, and post something decent.
Good night, and God Bless.

God's Paintings
Then there are the mornings when watching the sun come up over the mountains. Gosh there has been soooo many beautiful mornings. It just starts the day out right. To take the time to enjoy the finer things in life is a blessing in itself. We are a lucky people. We should be a thankful people.
The one thing I am missing this year, and wonder why, is we have no snow yet. But there is a reason for all happenings. My heart goes out to the business such as ski resorts that are paying the cost of the weather not cooperating. For our area, our ski resort for our area has been hurting the past approx. 5 or so years. They used to open at Thanksgiving, but have not been able to until later. This is the latest I've seen them go without snow.
I know, it's global warming! Please, global warming is one thing I am so tired of hearing. Our world goes through these changes. This isn't the first time. We go through cold spells and warm spells. We are not the ones controlling that.
I have to confess, I had a hard time adjusting to no snow during Thanksgiving and especially Christmas. I used to say it just doesn't seem like Christmas with no snow. But now, I can still get in the spirit of the holidays, as it isn't about snow, presents, decorations, parties, and what have you; but rather the celebration of Christ! How can we not get excited about that?
Okay, I've rattled on enough this morning. I must get a wiggle on. We are going to go spend a late Thanksgiving with my parents and little sister and her family. We are leaving late this morning, so I guess I had better go get ready. Otherwise hubby will be saying, "I knew you wouldn't be able to drag yourself from the computer." ;)
So, I'll be back on here either Sun. or Mon. night. Have a Blessed weekend. I'll be back to visit you all soon.
God Bless and by all means, P.U.S.H.!

1-1-1
Today while listening to Charles Stanleys pod cast titled "If God Lived in my House," by Lee Strobel. Wow! What a powerful message he has. I've only gotten through part one and can't wait to listen to part two.
Any way, I wanted to share a part of the message that sounds like a great idea! Lee talked about a special function to do in the church. It is called, 1-1-1. This is what you do; The Pastor asks everyone to come to agreement to chose one person in their life that is heading for a Christ-less eternity. Each person of the church will pray for that person everday at one o'clock for one minute until Christmas. Then each person is to invite that person that they prayed for to service in hopes they will come to Christ.
What Lee had done at Willow Creek Church was handed out business type cards that could fit in their wallets as reminders with just 1-1-1 on them and a line for them to write the name of the person on it that they were praying for. Of course this was not for showing to the person you were praying for. I would imagine it was to be kept personal no matter what.
Lee did say that one lady had taken her card to the person she was praying for and said, "Look, I'm praying for one person, that's you for one minute a day at one o'clock, so that you may come to Christ and enjoy it as much as I." (this isn't the exact words). The woman just laughed and said okay. Two weeks later while the woman being prayed for was taking a shower getting ready for work; she was hit by the Holy Spirit. She dropped to her knees and started praying right there in her shower and received Christ.
A funny comment was made by some people of his congregation that there was a conversion and a Baptism at one time! Hee hee. But think about how awesome that would be. Think of the many people that could be saved by performing one simple act. Lee also stated that someone asked if they could pray for 2 people at two o'clock instead. Lee said, "No!" This had to be done the same way with everyone. After all that is how when all comes into agreement that it works. Something to consider and perhaps mention to your Pastors as well.
Have a beautiful day, and God Bless!
