Bogus Cell Phone Message

There is a cell phone message going around saying that our cell phone numbers are going public. That 20 telemarketers are going to receive our numbers and to call the national do not call directory to block their calls.

I checked with snopes.com and found out that is false. I hadn't heard of this happening before, so decided to make sure. This e-mail has apparently been floating around for some time. So do not worry, as this is not the case. You do not have to make that call.

I've learned the hard way to check out information if you are not sure of the article received. I had sent one out a long time ago on a health issue, only to find out it was false. I wish people wouldn't start this garbage. They cause a lot of unnecessary upset. So if you don't already, double check information if you are not sure.

Thanks for that info. I love Snopes...a friend who works for IBM told me about snopes years ago and I've used it ever since...great site to check out those "panic" e-mails. :-) Susan

Yes it is Susan. I just wish I had learned of this earlier. :) Great program to have at our finger tips.
