I Saw The Light!

As I sit her tonight, finally having the chance to catch up on some blog reading, still have half way to go, a great feeling came to light. I love how he turns negative to positive. :)

I had written about the enemy attacking so many, and how so many need prayer and how we all need to be diligently praying for one another and taking a stand.

Well, it hit me tonight as to how that all just seemed so negative. It wasn't meant in that manner, it was meant as a wake up to some and a call out for more prayer; as we can never pray too much.

Then while reading the last good news posts I've read today--so many of them, Hallelujah!--that I heard a small voice saying, "See, not every thing is all gloom and doom right now. Sometimes you allow yourself to fall into that very trap where Satan wants you to fall. He works in ways that you often don't see. He's sneaky and you must be careful. You had written about waiting upon Me. This is exactly what you need to do. I will take care of those problems that you see. It's by my time. Lean on me dear child. Let me carry the burden. Let not your heart be troubled."

How true this is. Why is it we can think we are on the right track and are actually falling into that trap that we don't see. It's because he is as sly as a fox. This is why we need to remain focused on Him. We need to hold the faith. I love the way He saves us. The way He works in us. God Is Good All the Time; and All the Time, God Is Good! :) :) :) Yes, I'm smiling and free! Thank You Lord! And thank you to all of you that shared such great uplifting news. His timing is always perfect.

I saw the light
I saw the light
No more darkness
No more night
Now I'm so happy
No sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord
I saw the light!

this is so very true... I follow many cancer kids and kids with other physical problems and sometimes people will say to me, How can you follow all that sadness... well its not all sadness yep it is heartbreaking to lose one of these kids but oh the priviledge to be able to pray for them and to pray for their families and to see the work God is doing in the midst of such pain and sorrow. it is hard to accept at times that just because God does not answer when or how WE want does nto mean that he is not answering because he ALWAYS does...
great post :)
Love n hugs LAura

I am greatly blessed with your post tonight, Tammy. Thanks for this.
By the way, I just came from Denise "Lighthouse of Prayer" and I saw you there. I just posted my prayer request on her blog.
May you had a Blessed Sunday. :)

Thank you Laura. That is one way to really see Gods hands in things is watching kids with cancer, their families and the strength they draw from the Lord. I've been lifted by so many of them in the past. Thanks for sharing that Laura. Love and hugs to you as well.

Thank Grace, and you are welcome. I'll go to the light house now. Blessings to you.

Good Morning!!

Thanks for posting about our "Lighthouse". So many people need our prayers--pray for us to be a support to all those who come here.

Interesting, isn't it? Waiting on the Lord? How He brings the light into the darkness?

If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me, even the darkness will not be dark to You; the night will shine like day, FOR DARKNESS IS AS LIGHT TO YOU".....Psalm 139:11-12

True indeed, Tammy. I began writing a comment on that first post you wrote and wasn't able to finish up...therefor, deleted it but I will try now to make a long story a bit shorter...so it doesn't happen again :o).

The Lord showed me something amazing years ago and I've held strong to it since. It enables me to understand and keep my focus on Him (most times)...even in those utterly ugly tricks that the enemy pulls out of his pit.

In Job...I found that the enemy was not able to do anything without God's knowledge...almost without the "go ahead". God doesn't cause these things, we know that...but they are not happening in our lives as an oversight. Our Father has us in His hands, He knows that we are His and that we will remain His regardless of what the enemy pulls. These tricks will prove our faith stronger, our growth and dependence upon Him flourished and our understanding of ourself truer.

When the enemy tries to distract me, it can only be in that reactional moment (sometimes lingering a bit longer :<) but not for any great length of time. When we force ourselves to focus, we'll find that our Joy remains.

I just taught preschooler's yesterday at church about the Joy of The Lord. One of the lessons was to remember when we're feeling lowly, run down, trampled upon...to look up and Praise God because we can...He Loves Us all over (even in the uglier parts of ourselves). When we take the focus off of ourselves and begin praising Him, the Joy within gets fuller and fuller. Woo-hoo.

Not so short...could go on and on and on....

all done for now :)

Bless you BIG time my sister!

You're very welcome Beth! I think your program is outstanding. I thought I had posted a button on my side bar and realized last night that I hadn't, so I apologize for taking so long to do so.
Yes, it is interesting. I love Psalms! Thanks for sharing that. Blessings to you Beth.

Thanks Julie! You know, I love a lot of the older hymns and gospels. And of course many of the new ones as well. But there just isn't anything that that old time feeling that just gets into your heart. :)
Have a blessed week!
