God's Promises: Monday

Belief; Faith; Mercy; Worship; Prayer; Guidance; Fruitfulness; Holy Spirit; Salvation; and Peace. Taken from the NKJV.

Belief: John 1:12: "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name."
We must belief in order to be assured that we will remain in the Lord.

Faith: Colossians 2:6-7: "As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving."
When you stay in faith, God molds us into the image of Christ. With faith we are able to mature in God.

Mercy: Psalm 103:17: "But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children's children, to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them."
As long as we follow God's design for us, and live by His commandments, we will be shown mercy.

Worship: Matthew 2:1-2: "Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him."
Even the wise men traveled miles just to worship Him. So it should be that we do the same.

Prayer: 1 John 5:14-15: "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, what ever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."
Ask and ye shall receive."

Guidance: Psalm 37:23: "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delights in his way."
God loves a cheerful follower.

Fruitfulness: Psalm 92:14: "They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing."
What a promise that is as long as we stay in the Light of the Lord.

Holy Spirit: John 16:13: "However, when He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."
Just believe, follow His ways, and you shall be filled with the Holy Spirit to guide you.

Salvation: Ephesians 2:1: "And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins."
Christ died to save us from our sins and re-birthed us. We have been forgiven of our sins. Always repent for your sins.

Peace: Philippians 4:7: "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heats and minds through Christ Jesus."
Ahhh, what a beautiful blessing that is!
