The Power of God's Word!

This is a joke from Beliefnets Joke of the Day. There is a point to this. ;)

An elderly woman had just returned to her home from an evening of church services when she was startled by an intruder. She caught the man in the act of robbing her home of its valuables and yelled, "Stop! Acts 2:38!" (Repent and be baptized, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven.)
The burglar stopped in his tracks. The woman calmly called the police and explained what she had done.
As the officer cuffed the man to take him in, he asked the burglar, "Why did you just stand there? All the old lady did was yell a scripture to you." "Scripture?" replied the burglar. "She said she had an ax and two 38's!"

Scriptures are more powerful than we thought! There is a true story that happened a while back that is similar to this. I don't remember the exact happenings of what all she said, but it's enough to get the impact.
An elderly woman had gotten into her car and a young man jumped into the passengers seat. He told her to give him her money. She told him that she didn't have much. He told her again to give him her money.
She then began praying. He asked her what she was doing.
She told him she was praying for him to be saved and that what ever troubles he was going through to bring him to doin this would be broken.
His eyes welled up with tears.
She brought out her Bible and continued praying. Right there, he gave himself to the Lord!!!

Yes, God's Words are very powerful. What that woman done was very brave. She never showed fear, as she trusted God to save her. She knew that if it was her time to go, then so be it. Instead of freaking out, she prayed and led another to Him. I so loved this story. Do you trust the Lord enough to do something like this? I know this made me take another look at my faith then and even now. I know I need to take my faith up another step.
God Bless each and everyone of you. Make a ripple, let it grow, and watch it grow. Remember to P.U.S.H.
