I was going to start this yesterday and make it a daily thing, but will start it today and make it a double take. Each day is going to be Bible verses on seven different subjects. Hopefully this will help us all know where to turn in special times, and help others with anything you may be struggling with. The ideas came from: "The Bible Promise Book, The King James Version by Barbour Publishing, 1990.
So yesterday's touches on Belief; Faith; Mercy; Worship; Prayer; Guidance; Fruitfulness; Holy Spirit; Salvation; Peace.
Belief: John 3:16. I had just done a post on this very scripture. It is a good reminder though. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." This one is also a promise of Salvation through Christ; as well as a promise of Christ for Salvation.
Faith: Hebrews 11:1: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Walking in faith, believing that God will do as He has stated through His word, that He will take care of us; all we have to do is believe. The two walk hand in hand!
Mercy: Isaiah 30:18: "Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He wil be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him." This is a promise God makes to us when we are waiting on mercy. God is a merciful God.
Worship: Psalm 66:4: "All the earth will worship You and sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name." This is something we should be doing daily to our Father. He deserves our thanks always. Worshipping opens up your soul to the Lord and creates an aliveness with inside you.
Prayer: Matthew 7:7-8: "7Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."
Guidance: Isaiah 30:21: "Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, 'This is the way, walk in it,' Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left." God doesn't play games with us. He wants us to follow Him. When we agree to genuinely follow, He will make sure we understand what it is He wants us to do. So, walk in faith and believe, then He will guide you.
Fruitfulness: John 15:1-5: "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2Every branch in Me that does not bear fruite He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5I am the vine, you are the branches. he who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." Without allowing Jesus to live in us and us in Him, we are nothing, we're lost sheep wandering the land. When we allow Him in, we are able to do anything He asks of us.
This reminds me of part of what we learned the past weekend, we must be willing to takes risks. For He is not going to put us in danger. He asks us to do things that we may not be comfortable doing, but must work in faith and belief! Amazing how this all ties together huh?
Holy Spirit: Proverbs 1:23: "Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you." Ahh, being filled with the Holy Spirit, there is nothing like it. How about sharing some testimonies of being filled and led. Just leave me a message in my comment box letting me know you have written one or more. If you would, link back to this message so others can see what it is all about. Thanks.
Salvation: John 3:3-7: "3Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.' 4Nicodemus said to Him, 'How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?' 5Jesus answered, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again."
Peace: Isaiah 57:19: "I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who is near,' Says the Lord, 'And I will heal him." This is a promise for peace and healing. Also a promise to preserve with healing.
All the verses I have posted are from the NKJV. Next M onday I will post more verses on the same subjects until I have exhausted scriptures on these very subjects. Hope to see you back here. Each day will be a set of seven different subjects.
