Perfect Timing

Oh, our daddy is soooo good! I love how He works in us. I've been struggling with what to post tonight. I talked with my little sister and recieved some downer news on a few family members to include my parents. I told my sister to keep her chin up and remember He never gives us more than we can handle. I needed to remind myself that. There are times when it just all seems so overwhelming. But that's the time to go to Him.

J is struggling with writing on his blog as well. He's just starting one. What was cool was right after discussing our mental block, I came across a great message! I told J God is good, His timing is perfect, He is there when we need Him. Ask and we shall recieve! I had a scripture I was going to use, but then felt it just wasn't right. And lo and behold, just needed to be patient.

So here is what I found, as I felt it just tied in with everything. It just felt right. ;)

This comes from Crosswalk's Live It! "Pray without ceasing." (Thessalonians 5:17) Do you think He's trying to tell us something? This is two days in a row. First our Pastor yesterday, and now the 3rd or 4th message I received is the same thing. The one that touched me. The message starts out with this: (I'm sending this one to my little sis, as she really needs this message):

"My husband Bill and I believe in keeping track of prayer requests. Sometimes we might wonder if God is listening, and writing down our prayers helps remind us that God does listen. Let me share one, simple prayer request I made for one of my sons, Brock, when he was a baby. The prayer went like this:

'God, give Brock the courage to stand alone for You. Give him the integrity and wisdom to choose well in his relationships; lead him to the godly woman he will marry someday."

I'll leave the rest of the message for you to go read. It's very good. Really makes you think. It was just what I needed tonight, and what my lil' sis definintely needs. WOW!
