Your Work is Your Ministry Too

Where ever you work in the secular world, it is your ministry. OS Hillman from Prime Time with God talked of this. Many don't see how you can minister at work as they do not know what this means.

My hubby had discussed this very topic a while back, as his boss was struggling. That's when the Lord talked to him and told him to follow the way of the Lord while at work, to let the light of the Lord shine through him. Hubby was getting really stressed from all that was going on at work. Once he started praying while on the road, and reading during his breaks, calling upon the Lord when he felt frustration setting in, and using a soft, not sharp tongue towards people, the stress level lifted immensely. I had my hubby back!

So as I had stated in an earlier post, as Pastor Iverson stated, "When you are walking on water, keep your focus on Jesus." I know my whole attitude while I have the grandchildren is going to be so much better now. I'll be ministering while working!!! Imagine the difference that is going to make.

It also made me think of family. While being a parent (this is a job), one must minister in order to lead our children in the right direction. While being family member and a friend, one must be ministering. As when we let our guard down, we become faithless, hopeless, and loveless. When we aren't living by the Bible, we lose all that and allow the enemy in. Boy how I learned that lesson recently big time.

Most of us know this is what we are to be doing, but it is easy to let the secular and flesh of life creep back in and we lose what we need to get through life. I don't know about you, but I'm going to be focusing on two things more now. That is focusing on Jesus while walking on water, and shining with the light of the Lord, (ministering). I'm also going to take this year to get to know the Bible much better. I've been a procrastinator and it drives me nuts not have a close understanding of it all yet. But, it is all by His timing. God's perfect timing. He's really put a desire, a fire in my heart now. Praise God!

God Bless you always and remember to always P.U.S.H.

I agree. We need to allow ourselves to used by God at all times and in all places. This includes work/job. We might be the only chance that they have to find Christ. Good post.
