Do It Heartily

Hon had used this in one of her comments and wanted to share this one with you. It's a good scripture that says a lot in one sentence.

"Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the LORD and not to men." ~Colossians 3:23

"First, what ever you do, do it heartily." To me this comes natural. I was raised to always put your best foot forward no matter what you are doing. I guess that is why I have a hard time working with some. Those that do not put pride in what they do baffle me. That is a downfall that I have is judging. We must not judge others either. So I find this part of the verse important in itself. Do It Heartily!

When we look at Jesus, did He ever balk? No way. He always worked for the Father and kept on even in hard times. Look at His time spent in the desert, being tempted by the devil. Not once did He give up. That is a long time to fast and suffer, but He done it Heartily! When carrying the cross to His death; how many could do that? We must bear our cross and do it Heartily!

Now, "as to the LORD and not men." This here is one that many of us fall short of. It is too easy to fall into the trap of the worldly ways, and ways of the flesh. After all, we are human and were born with the inheritance of sin. But, we can at least try Heartily to overcome our temptations and do the best we can. That's all He asks of us. That's definitely NOT asking too much.

To walk in the way of the Lord, what better path is there to follow? Absolutely none. My testimony to the Faith of God is a prime example of how good life is in His Love.

God Bless

There are times that we may fail but GOD is sufficient enough.
